Found La Oaxaqueña thanks to a mention of it in St Louis magazine and I am so happy with the find. This is a hidden gem and I will say the best Mexican food I have found in St Louis. The salsa, guacamole, tacos and Choripollo that we ordered were delicious. I loved that they had many authentic dishes with mole. Since I loved our dishes so much, I want to come back to keep trying various things in the menu that sounded great. I highly recommend this place!

I would have never known about this place if my husband and I hadn’t been looking for somewhere we’ve never been before. It should be shouted from the rooftops. If you go to this place make sure you order their authentic Oaxaca food, it is super delicious and very authentic. Their chicken verde tamales are really flavorful, but a bit spicy so keep that in mind.

This place is legit authentic Mexican food with an unusual menu compared to all the other guys. Highly recommend trying! First time visiting today and will definitely go back! Delicious and reasonably priced. We had the enchiladas molé and taquitos. The ingredients were fresh and on point!

Restaurant is kind of tucked back off the main road behind a meat market. But, your efforts to find it will be rewarded. My group ordered the three Tacos and the three tamales and they were all delicious. Will be back to try more from their menu. Very authentic food and chips and salsa was good!

This was my wife and I first visit to the establishment and I have to say I was very impressed. Very family oriented and the food and pricing was great. Only thing I didn’t like was the tamale I ordered. I’ve never had a flat tamale nor have I ever had it wrapped in sea weed paper. The staff was very attentive,polite and professional I would definitely recommend giving it a try and I will be back

This place is the real deal! You’re not going to get Tex Mex or Americanized Mexican food here. No, this is one hundred percent authentic Mexican food. This place is a gem because it’s not just authentic, but they have their own unique dishes from the state of Oaxaca. Not to mention they make delicious margaritas as well. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the food is delicious.
