Recently we held an 88 person fundraising event for the Surface Creek Animal Shelter. Even though the place was packed Angelina and her team were able to deliver fantastic food and cocktails in a well organized and timely manner. We were offered both and amazing vegetarian item and a meat entree. Everyone was satisfied.

Mesa Winds is magical. The FOOD, wine, cocktails, setting, atmosphere and hospitality. The views of the mountains are breathtaking, the flowers on each table, the stone wall enclosing the patio dining area. If you peek over the wall you’ll see farm animals living their best lives and the gardens where the product is grown for your incredible meal. We’ve had brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktail hours there, each one better than the next. The food and cocktails are ALWAYS creative and delicious!! This is the place that is at the top of my list to take out of town guests and I always recommend to everyone I meet looking for excellent all around experience. You have to experience it. My words and photos don’t do it justice.

Exceeded my expectations. Rustic and elegant farm to table style restaurant. It’s all about the atmosphere and simple flavors. Delta County sure does have something special here at Mesa Winds. We tried the Lavender Lemonade (sitting right next to the lavender) and the wines. I was surprised that the wines were easy drinking and dry. The chef promoted, praised, and elevated the local farmers. It’s not extravagant… But, that is not what we were looking for. We sought comfort and love in the food and service. This place is beautiful if you want to experience Hotchkiss and Delta County. I was excited to hear they will soon do a wood fired pizza oven with local fresh ingredients to top a home made crust. I can’t wait!

What an amazing evening. The food was freshly prepared, the drinks were finely crafted and the server, Rachel, had a good sense of humor. The view over the North Fork Valley into the West Elks was jaw-dropping. Add in great company, a great crowd and a rooster that likes blues-you got a pretty good night.

My husband and I went here after Karen from Stone Cottage Cellars said how amazing it was. I don’t think there are words that can truly describe the magic of this place. First, walking in, it’s so charming, with a gorgeous view and flowers all around you. Everyone working there is so kind and friendly; we felt so welcome!

Best food in the county. Angelic and Dan do a fantastic job with food and their great wines! We try to visit on Friday, Saturday or Sunday when their small outdoor cafe is open! Excellent wine selections. Estate bottled or jammy reds are fantastic!

Happened to find Mesa Winds on Google while driving through. They have a really great atmosphere, and the food was so very good! The menu changes weekly, but I had the huevos rancheros and it was the best I’ve had (and I order heuvos a lot!) Highly recommend it!

Wonderdul set up! Beautiful view at sunset and the wine was a delicious way to wind down after a long day in the car. The dogs were super friendly if you went out into the farm. The food also sounded really fresh and tasty but we had already eaten by the time we found the winery. I would recommend to anyone that is in the area!

My friend and I were just staying in town for night during our road trip and this place was recommended to us. We showed up with no reservation and spoke to a gentleman behind the bar who immediately helped us and found us a cute picnic table outside. He gave us great drink recommendations and helped us figure out some questions we had about our trip! 10/10 highly recommend. The service and drinks were great!
