Waitress was VERY attentive! My husband and I had salmon and walleye. The food was good. The salmon entree had kale and bok choy. The kale was tough with stem on it; however the sauce was flavorful.

As you can see by a previous post or two the owner of this place has an attitude and is quick to tell you that they do not seat large parties. This place will seat small parties of people so do not go here if you have more than six and probably should be less that this. We had good experience here more than seven years ago – very good but this is no longer the case, There is a new owner in the last seven years.

Dinner on a Saturday night here with spouse and a friend. Delicious fresh, locally sourced ingredients make inspired and delicious entrees. Waitress was friendly. Took a bit longer than it should have for our food to arrive (others who arrived after we did received their food first) but the Old Fashioned was good until the food arrived. Recommended!

Wow, what took me so long! A beautiful place, inviting and so relaxing. I wanted “one of everything”, but decided on the short rib tortellini with grilled veggies in a tarragon cream sauce….it was heaven. Best staff ever. It was hard not to stare at the other tablesl when their pizza arrived…and again, WOW!

Popolo offers a wide selection of food including reduced gluten options. My pizza was very flavorful but a bit cool. All other meals and apps were spot on. The drink menu had all of the Wiscon basics and several bottles of wine that were above average. The staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. The restaurant was full when we arrived and full when we left.

What a wonderful place! Wendy and her staff are doing an awesome job. I had the pesto monkfish which was just as described on the menu, highly recommend. The portion size was very generous. We ate there both nights of our stay in Mineral Point it is so good!

I ate here a few weeks back and everything about this place is nice. I can’t give five stars because I ordered the Pizza Diavolo, they said it was spicy and I like spicy food. This pizza was so spicy it was near inedible. I ate about 60% of it before throwing in the towel, it was like I was in a food challenge of some sort. If they would back off on the heat level a bit I would have given them Five Stars. They are so many other great things on their menu I look forward to trying.
