The steps going up into restaurant are very steep. No one greeted us we seated ourselves which was just the beginning of continued bad service. Nonetheless we did tip server. But why after being so abused we probably shouldn’t have. She was barely friendly and often just rude. She wouldn’t answer any questions. I asked for sour cream with my baked potato got a dirty look. I asked two times if I may have a refill on a small plastic cup of diet coke they weren’t busy and we were only feet away from the bar. The highlight of meal was my baked potato cooked really well. The prime rib not that great. I would not recommend this dilapidated horrible service place to anyone. The steps leaving restaurant even worse going down them. We waited for our check no service so just went up to bar paid it and the rude smile I got each time and a “yes I’ll get that” but never bringing beverage wow. Except for travel in Eastern Europe I have never ever experienced such a cold unfriending place. Awful.

You gotta get that Queen Cut. Admire that enormous slice of meat. So juicy and succulent. I walked away 5 pounds heavier and 10 times happier. Worth it.

After we were seated the waitress seated 2 other tables. She took their orders then 17 minutes later came to take ours. She delivered what was supposed to be a salad (wilted lettuce a tomato and a dried carrot) then informed us what we ordered they were out of. She informed us we should make a reservation next time (I was informed when I called before I did not need a reservation) We ordered the prime rib, the next day special was prime rib sandwiches. Interesting they ran out the night before but had enough for sandwiches the next day..

This place has without question the best prime rib I’ve ever had in my life. The walleye is incredible as well. I don’t typically frequent places like this, except for when I’m in Warroad, so I don’t really know how it compares to prime rib dinners at other similar establishments. But I can say for certain this place is spectacular. I wake up in cold sweats thinking about that phenomenal steak

Have been going to the legion for years for the prime rib dinner. Has always been wonderful. Went last night and we were very disappointed. Could not believe the Prime Rib we got served. 1/2″ thick for the King,Queen and senior. All was well done. Over 1/3 of it fat. Scared to try it again.

We brought 3 Vietnam Veteran&Family from Arizona, Minneapolis up to our proud WARROAD AMERICAN LEGION.She forgot our drinks-2 Iced Teas+1DietCoke&messed up our easy order (5 PrimeRibs-sadly-too much grissle&fat). New Staff& Understaffed. $150 meal+ $35 bar tab+Tip ($40+$10)-1 bartender who had huge line. We did alcohol drinks&3 waters (For our 3 Veteran)@bar, because we saw waitress was overwhelmed. I apologized emencely for our family dinner outing. Hopefully next time it will be better.

Here for a company holiday party, the food was amazing… and I was not optimistic when we entered. THE Appetizers AND Prime rib, the service and drinks were all excellent. A great time was had by all.
