Food and service were great. Management needs to learn ADA access laws for service dogs. They allow people to bring pets for outside seating and have a local law posted about non service dogs in a restaurant setting, but asked that the service dog not come inside due to that law which isn’t applicable to a service dog trained to aid a disabled person such as myself. I was polite and educated a staff member when I had to leave my service dog with my wife to use the restroom.

We were here for dinner after fishing trip. Good harbor view for sunset. Good services. Appetizers are pretty good. I had the Seafood Florentine. It’s full of seafood like lobster, shrimp, scallop and mussels, but could use one more pinch of salt. My colleagues who had deserts said the blueberry cobbler and cheesecake were pretty good as well.

Great place on the water with a selection of fresh seafood; you can come here with family, friends, or a loved one and enjoy the scenery. The service staff is kind and accommodating in addition to the food being promptly served. I haven’t had New England sea food in a year, so it was nice to have a good experience.

For a restaurant on the water front, we were not impressed. The calamari appetizer was not fresh. we got about 12 calamari rings, they were very rubbery. Not worth the price at all. We ordered the tuna burger, and it was pretty good. No complaints there. Unfortunately we went during low tide and being next to the beach, the sand fleas were INTOLERABLE. Most everyone on the deck was intolerant of the pests. The host staff could have mentioned it prior to seating us outside that we were going to be eaten alive. But we did get switched to an inside seat when asked, with out issue. Over all it’s a not that great, but that that bad of an establishment.

We really did stumble upon Castaways and I’m so glad we did ! We were going to a concert at Blue Ocean and wanted to find a restaurant close by. We sat at the bar and our servers were very attentive. We all ordered seafood dishes -scallops, baked haddock, lobster avocado salad. All perfectly cooked and excellent. John,one of the owners, came over to welcome us to the restaurant and was very personable. By the end of our meal, we felt like we were regulars! Can’t wait to come back, make a reservation and sit on the deck for the sunset . Kuddos to John and the whole team!

My wife and I tried this place for the first time, primarily because they had more than just the usual fried seafood offerings. I love fried seafood, but there’s only so much I can eat before all the grease catches up to me. I had the seafood Alfredo and it was delicious. Large outdoor deck with excellent view of sunset (over nuclear power plant) and also a nice beer garden area.

The owner came out to welcome us and give us recommendations. Been coming here for years and always have a good experience. Upstairs deck seating is only open on weekends and is def the place to be. Outdoor fire pits on the water are nice to sit by after dinner. Good drinks, good food, very welcoming
