What a great find if you are in the area. When we stopped this was the 51 year opened. The parking can seem a bit crazy as it’s just a gravel parking lot but just find a spot and park. Trust me… It’s worth it. Go in and get on the waiting list. I would guess you will always be on the list as busy as this place is. The menu has limited options but what I wanted was listed (steak). They do have chicken and fish but this is what we selected. Everything came out fast and cooked perfectly. I was shocked how fast it came out. To the point I was looking for it to be wrong (overcooked or undercooked), but that was not the case. Service was excellent and friendly even though this place was packed the service team was on point. Overall, I can’t say enough great things about this place. Only issue I have is we don’t have one closer to where we live (lol). If you are in Helens GA it’s worth the 20 mile drive if you want a great steak at a great price. We can’t wait to go back.

Great, old-fashioned restaurant. Come early… like 2 hours early… if you want to go right in at opening. But in that early time, you get to chat with everyone else waiting, take pictures, enjoy the shade of the porch, etc. Their service model is very efficient, and food comes out very fast! Onion rings for $5? The best value there! They are huge and homemade and are the exact taste I have been looking for. Our ribeyes were good, potatoes large but only sour cream and butter. No alcohol served, but thanks to that we got out of there having ordered the most expense things on the menu and only paying $60! In 2023. Good luck leaving Longhorn for less than $100. We would come back here again and again.

My family has been coming to this restaurant for many years but it has unfortunately gone downhill. When we went on a Sunday, they were out of all steaks except sirloin and trout, they stated this was because they are closed Mondays.

Here’s the deal. They only take cash or local checks. Some of the reviews I read said that no one told them. ITS ON THE FRONT DOOR!!! We both order Ribeyes, they were large and my 2nd one was cooked rare like I like it. (I think my first one got mixed up with another order in the grill, the stick said rare but it was about as well done as it could be without being burnt). The salad was just lettuce and tomato but it was very fresh, my baked potato was so big, but it was done through and through. Our waitress was very attentive and we didn’t want for anything. It was my hubby’s birthday and we ordered a slice of cheese cake to share. It was delicious and possibly homemade, if not I’d love to know where they buy them.

We had dinner 7-27-23 with friends last evening. Party of 6 and the service was awesome. The pork chops were so good and the sides were very generous. T/bone,catfish, French fries so good. First time visit and we will be back. Thanks for a great evening out.

Fantastic service, fantastic meal, excellent value, a beautiful drive on my way there and an overall very warm and welcoming environment. My experience here was a highlight of my recent trip, and all of the staff there worked extremely hard to satisfy the waves of customers who rush them as soon as they open their doors. Highly recommended if you can fit their hours into your itenerary. Get there early because they fill up fast!

Great quality food and service, worth every penny! My family ordered the T-Bone steak, Famous Rainbow Trout and Ribeye. They were all amazing and huge portions which you can definitely share. The appetizers were also amazing and good portion sizes. Food came out fast and hot! We will definitely visit again.

Rustic feel, clean and comfy.. so enjoyed.. we have been there twice this week and plan to come again next vacation…thank you to the sisters who are the waitresses that took awesome care of us and everyone there. They clean the table themselves and serve , take order etc.. their Mom is the cook.. lol great place .. lots of locals there..
