Delightful dinner, it’s in our top 5 restaurants right now. The atmosphere outside is super cute and typical to the island. The food was outstanding, definitely try the steak and oysters, super fresh. 10 out of 10 experience.

The Chanticleer is a fine dining restaurant located in the heart of Sconset Village on Nantucket Island. The restaurant was originally opened as a small tea house in 1900, and has since been transformed into one of the island’s premier dining destinations.

Beautiful outside seating under heat lamps in the garden. The delicious pasta bolognese was unique in it’s hearty consistency with chunks of tender meat that melted in your mouth.

Best meal on the island. Actually on the far side from where we were but worth the drive. I had the filet and it was to die for! Oysters were prepared beautifully, rolls were fresh. Lobster compote was tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meal. You are going to need a reservation and you may be surprised by who you see here. Classy!

The food, the service and the atmosphere are all unbeatable. This is my favorite summer restaurant – its quintessential sconset with the amazing gardens, the food is excellent (my favorites are the tuna tartare, halibut, Bolognese and burger) and the service is so perfect. We had Carlos and he is a gem.

Food was delicious but the service for the price was as if we were eating at a McDonalds. If you want good food and the worst service go to Le chantilclair in nantucktect we had to pour our wine iouselvez. No one ever asked if things were ok. They were so below a fine dining experience but the price you paid was so outrageous for the experience

2023 update. We have eaten at Chanticleer three times this summer. Overall, it’s been very good to excellent. Some dishes are better than others (for example, we really liked the chicken, but not so much the burger). Great, old school ambience and service, both in the courtyard and indoors. The somm (Taylor) was good fun – he seems very knowledgeable and has some reasonably priced and creative options on the menu, which we really enjoy.

The best dining experience I’ve had in a long time and absolutely the most beautiful spot I’ve ever dined in. We had dinner in the Rose Garden. The service was just right, food was perfect. Our waiter, Michael, was a delight. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. We look forward to returning!

Beautiful venue and exceptional service. This is not a french restaurant. We had 4 at our table an 3 ordered the same fish dish. They all said it was very good but it did have a spicy flavor to the dish. The 4th person ordered a scallop dish and was surprised how spicy it was. The menu should state if a meal is spicy. Lesson for the day: Ask if it is spicy. All in all it was very good but the total price was exorbitant.
