Lots of great food at good prices from friendly folks. We happened by while out of town. Much more than we expected, including customizing my Arrachera with Nopal. It also seemed like I got more than was listed on the menu! Great food in the style of Guanajuato, and with lots of tasty mole sauce.

We were staying overnight in Royston and decided to go to El Manzanillo for dinner. It was very good. Our server might have been new or had trouble understanding/speaking English, though. We ordered enchiladas, and he asked us if we wanted salsa on it. We said yes, but it turned out he was asking us if we wanted mole sauce, I assume, because that’s what we got . Neither of us are fans of mole, but theirs was actually very good! I’d definitely go there again if I was in town.

Hermando the owner greeted and seated us and helped us with our orders. The service was excellent, the food was wonderful, my Margarita was fabulous and we appreciated the excellent prices. I thought he forgot to add the extra and the base level rice is that small but no. That was extra rice as I got charged the extra fee. For $12 something, it’s an expensive snack. To add salt to injury I thought this food would be amazing but I was wrong. It was bland with little seasoning. It’s sad when waffle House seasons their food better at a much better price. Not only did I need to drop money there I had to go to McDonald’s add to my snack. In essence, my first time experience was terrible and I don’t see myself going back.
