Hands down best cheesesteaks in Ann Arbor. My daughter and I love this cozy small business for its delicious food and the kind, genuine people that work there. Heads up, it’s a tiny place and they don’t have much indoor seating at all. Their takeout business seems to be thriving and this may be the best way to do it. So, if you want a no-frills real-deal cheesesteak, you’ve got to check out Izzy’s. Their meatball subs are good too, as are their fries. Because these items are so good, we haven’t even made it to the rest of their menu! We usually order a large fry to split and two 10” cheesesteaks. The subs come with American cheese and grilled onions. There are other topping options- I add hot pepper relish to mine. Mm.

We enjoy Izzy’s Hoagie shop and have been known to make the trip from Pinckney on more then one occasion. We always order their Cheese Steak Hoagie with mushrooms and grilled onions and add a side order of onion rings or French fries and sometimes both! There is usually a line so step right in place your order to go or to dine in. In our humble opinion it’s the only place to go as Izzy’s Hoagie’s are like none that you know!
