Best lobster! Lobsters are kept up front. If you order a lobster, you watch it being harvested from the large front counter tank. The chowder was the real deal. French fries were amazing. Every thing was excellent. It’s a popular place, even then, the wait isn’t bad. They accidentally provided us with more ales than we paid for. The first table we sat at was getting fumes from the trash bins. They use bleach to clean down the tables so there was that odor constantly. Everything felt old and sticky. Atmosphere was pretty bad. Food was good. Had the fisherman’s platter which was very good and plentiful. Wife had the fish and chips which was supposed to come with 2 sides but the waiter said, “no, that is a mistake.” We didn’t make a fuss and the platter I got had so much on it we were able to share. Good prices, good food, lousy ambiance.

We had the lobster roll along with clam chowder, fried pickles, and the lobster Rangoon. All of it was honestly pretty good. The lobster roll bun is a bit big, but overall, the flavor is very good. We have had fried pickles at many places, and except for a place near where we live, these were the best by far of any other places we’ve had them at. Everything else was good, just not great. It wasn’t too busy and food came fast.

The food here is amazing!!! Was looking at every restaurant in the area to decide where to buy a lobster roll. So glad we chose this place. The staff was friendly. Prices were really reasonable and the flavor was excellent. Lobster roll was perfect!!!! Buttery and delicious!

This place is awesome! It was the first food stop on our anniversary trip and we were not disappointed. We got lobster rolls and clams chowder. Delicious food at reasonable prices, and the staff was super friendly.

First thing is sidewalk stinks of grey water or something upon entering and the stream of waste water goes down the street stinks up the whole street coming out of the place.

Absolutely make this a stop!!!! Come early as they aren’t busy like rush hour unless you like to wait and the food is incredible. Amelia was our server and was so friendly, fun and made sure we had everything we needed. We had the lobster roll, crab roll and brisket Mac and cheese and blueberry pie ala mode. So filling and worth the price. We walked it off afterwards. Definitely recommend!!!

A bit of a toss up experience. The brisket sandwich and lobster dip were pretty good. The brisket dinner portion was a letdown and the kitchen was out of a couple items we ordered. Our server was friendly and attentive and the outdoor atmosphere was nice. I know you’re in bar harbor but $18 for a Bloody Mary “special” is a bit much.
