Two words you don’t often see in the same review: “Ambridge” & “upscale.” Yet here we are. We had a most pleasant dining experience here yesterday. Gotta say- the staff was most attentive and worked to assure our visit was positive. Kudos. Our meal was off of the special menu, so not there every day (catfish! two ways) and the soup du jour (perfectly executed French Onion) may not be available on your visit, but the effort that went into our experience was noted. We’ll return. Friendly staff. Enjoyable. Recommended.

I visited Alexander’s today as I often pass through Ambridge (unfortunately). I was disappointed. I’m not sure who the rude waiter was that everyone was botching about, but our server was super nice. Their menu is OK. Decent selection.

Alexander’s catered a company luncheon in February of 2014. The food was absolutely incredible. Everything tasted amazing and was fresh and hot. The staff filled our plates to the brim and didn’t skimp on anything! Absolutely exceptional food. I see the other complaints on here are in regards to their customer service and wait staff skills– obviously I can’t comment to that as our interaction was simply catered but the older lady and two gentlemen that were here were nothing but kind and repeatedly thanked us for the opportunity to serve them.

Alexander’s is a family restaurant that has been serving the Ambridge community and its environs for years. It is the go-to place for a nice atmosphere, good and well prepared food, and outstanding hospitality. The prices are very reasonable, and and while most of the menu is traditional American food, they do have some Greek offerings and Italian offerings which are excellent. I recommend it highly.

It was one of the worst places I have ever eaten at. The server was so rude. He thought that we should have apologized for our chicken being raw. The place was filthy. It used to be a decent place. I will not recommend it
