Sing sing makes the best banh mi in the Tenderloin and maybe even the whole city. The flavors are perfect and feels light and healthy. Only $5 per sandwich

You don’t get what you paid for, you get more. Cash only but the sandwiches are so good. The flavors are so fresh and had just the right amount of all the notes that make for a great banh mi. The iced coffee is strong and deep, and the hint of the condensed milk at the end make for a refreshing, tasty, and bold drink. Didn’t expect much in the way of customer service, but you won’t need it, and maybe don’t even want it for an establishment like this. If they can keep up the amazing food, I say keep at it.

Excellent sandwich shop in a terrible part of town. The walk to the shop from the Civic Center BART is harrowing. Despite the rampant homelessness and drug abuse on the surrounding streets this spot always has some local Vietnamese patrons enjoying a coffee or tea which gives the place a feeling of safety. The service is pleasant, quick, and welcoming. I recommend the Cafe Su Da (Vietnamese iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk) and the combo sandwich. They’ll probably give you a pot of tea to go a long with the Vietnamese music videos on the TV in the corner.

Always got the combo sandwich here. Price recently increased to $5 from $4. This is typical vietnamese cafe shop place where majority of vietnamese men (mid 30 – old age) hanging out & gossiping. Been here couple times but didn’t like sandwich much this time. It was not as tasty as before.

Good sandwiches reasonable price kind of sketchy area and atmosphere is definitely lacking. I would recommend for takeout only but the staff is friendly. The coffee’s good but overpriced.

In my opinion as a Vietnamese person, Sing Sing has the beat Banh Mi Dac Biet (special) outside of VN in San Francisco. For $5 cash, you get a stuffed sandwich, made with love. Stop by here!

5 stars, best banh mi. Been going here since i was born, parents been coming here since late 1980s. Back when it was some sketchy shady looking literal den that had gambling slots in the rear, but as years go on, and the decor got older and older so did the owners, the banh mi never change. I hope they never close and im close to being 30, i crave for the dens banh mi everyday. Im definitely coming home for this.

Very solid Bahn Mi. The chicken was good, although not my personal favorite. The bread was fantastic; some of the best I’ve had with a Bahm Mi if SF. Good hot tea given with lunch as well.
