We went for our anniversary and had the most incredible experience. They treated us like royalty, and the food was the best we’ve had in Colorado. Everything we had from the menu was fantastic. The seafood tower was fantastic, as well as the crab cakes. Each item was a full experience, and we tried a little of everything. Any menu item is worth getting! Would definitely go again!

We had a very good meal here! Their dishes are beautifully presented and everything came out in a timely fashion. The portions are a good size for sharing which was appreciated. Highly recommend the shrimp cocktail (three shrimp per order) and scallop ceviche. The eggplant is too heavy for a side dish but the fingerling potatoes are crispy and delicious. The mixed berry sorbet is the perfect way to end the meal and can easily be shared. There were quite a few gluten free options which was great. The service was pretty good, they forgot a dish and didn’t check on the wine order but the server was friendly.

The location is great, the interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, all service staff were wonderful. The lobster bisque was out of this world! The beet salad was perfection! The oysters and the signature sauces were incredible. We had the John Dory dish as well as the halibut. The fish was amazing. We personally prefer a lighter sauce so the saffron on the John Dory and the mushroom sauce on the halibut was a bit over powering in our opinion. Overall, it was still a wonderful lovely experience.

Taking a chance on a new restaurant can be scary, but this place is the exception to the rule. It won’t be long until you will be hard-pressed to find a reservation available for this gem in downtown Denver. As tourists, my wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon in Denver. On a Saturday night we were trying to find the perfect place to eat a special dinner, and to be honest, we couldn’t find a reservation anywhere else, by chance we stumbled on 801 Fish. Well, I’m here to tell you, We are the lucky ones. When you walk in you are taken back by the amazing decor, and the classy and comfortable feel. The service from the minute you walk in makes you feel welcome, and like royalty. As we were seated, our server, Brittany welcomed us with a smile, and an amuse Bouche of Lahvosh with hints of lemon and black pepper, we found their wine list to be extensive with a little something for everybody. We opted to start our meal by sharing a wonderful bottle of wine and an amazing jumbo crab cake, with a delicious vinaigrette and accompaniments that were handcrafted with great care. Buckle your seatbelt because this was only the beginning… As we couldn’t decide which entrees we wanted (as there were so many delicious options), we ordered the halibut with mushrooms and sunchokes, and the linguine with tomato butter, clams and served with toasted bread. When we took the first bite, we had to take a second to wonder if the flavors we were experiencing or real or if we were in a fantasy world. This was the most amazing food I have had in years. My wife and I kept swapping plates because we wanted to keep experiencing every bite of this incredibly meticulous, crafted art. as we were eating our food, word got out it was our honeymoon and we were treated to a glass of champagne by the general manager and congratulations from many members of the staff, including our wonderful server assistant, Manfred. by the time desert got to us, which was a delicious lemon, tart with Matcha, blackberries and brûléed meringue. My bride and I had experienced tears more than once, by the incredible experience we were having. The staff made us feel like family and royalty. I would urge anybody who has the chance to experience 801 Fish, do it! …. I just hope next time we’re in Denver we will be able to get a table.

Wow! Beautiful environment and presentation of food. Very cool find in Denver. We love 801 Chophouse in Cherry Creek and this definitely lives up to its sister restaurant! Food, drinks, and service was A+!

Came in for a late reservation and the dishes were either excellent or poorly conceived and and presented — not middle. The service was slow for 1.5 hrs until closing, then everything came at once within five minutes. The wine order got messed up and we called it out — ordered a 2016 bottle of Sancerre and got a 2020. The gem lettuce salad was a giant ball of cheese on a head of lettuce cut in half – not the best presentation and the amount of cheese was overwhelming. The oysters and the lobster bisque were beautifully done. The big eye tuna crudo was…soupy — the pieces could have been more thinly sliced and rather than a ladle of dressing, maybe just a dropper full to accent the fish. The curry lemongrass broth for the mussels was to die for even though the mussels were quite small.
