The food was okay, but I wouldn’t make a return trip. They had a large crowd, so they were not able to keep up. I stayed without coffee many times. The salsa was really good, but as far as the rancheros, I’ve had better.

Lucy’s has the absolute best New Mexico Spanish Food. Red chile, green chile, and creamy green chile were so flavorful we could not tell you which was our favorite. The batter on the chile rellenos was so tasty. I can’t tell you how happy I was with the food. Beans and rice were fresh and homemade. In fact the word “homemade” should be after Lucy’s name. It is truly like eating at your mom’s or your grandmother’s house. We went for a late lunch at 1:00, so there were not a lot of people and not a lot of noise. Comfortable eating atmosphere, but that does not mean that I won’t go back during busy times. It is well worth it!!

Someone else mentioned, cafeteria food, and I’ve had much better cafeteria food than this place. I how could this restaurant possibly have a 4.7 on Google review. Nice customer service but the food is gross.

My experience of eating here was like eating at my own mother’s kitchen! I had the Huevos rancheros with chorizo and red Chile and it did not disappoint! Service was pretty friendly, and then like that it was like a very old school diner. I also like the fact that it’s family ran. Great food!
