The recipe for our famous roast beef sandwich is simple: 100% real top round beef. Slow roasted on-site for three hours. Shaved extra thin. Served medium rare on a lightly toasted buttered bun. And topped with a dash of secret seasoning. It’s the same way we’ve done it for over 50 years. As real as it gets.
Counter-serve chain specializing in slow-roasted beef sandwiches served hot on toasted buns. Based on 549 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.3 stars. Price $

Just landed here St. Louis and hungry. First time here and it was amazing, food and staff. Great to see some smiling faces after standing in line for a rental car for 2 hours. Awesome Italian roast beef with a spicy zing to jump start the day. Don’t forget to get mini dipped cone on your way out the door. Thank you

First timer. I think they mistook the sandwich for fries – way too much salt but fairly good roast beef. 0 to no salt average fries. Great horsey sauce. Friendly service by the guy with checkerboard tats on the arms. Would maybe come back and try something different

It’s Lion’s Choice, so of course the food is good. Get the Famous Roast Beef in large so it’ll come on a hoagie. I ordered my sandwich with cheddar cheese. When I got it, it didn’t have cheese. I looked at my receipt and it had a (c) next to my sandwich, which I assumed meant cheese. I took it back to the counter and pointed it out to the guy who came to help me. Turns out the (c) means combo. I apologized and said not to worry about it since I didn’t pay for it. They went above and beyond to make sure I not only got cheese, but that I got a warm sandwich. They were so friendly and polite. I’ll definitely hit this store up everytime I’m in the area since we don’t have a Lion’s Choice back home.

Stopped in from out of town to eat a quick meal. We were greeted by Deanna at the register. She was very courteous and friendly. She made a couple of suggestions as this was our first time in a Lion’s Choice. Deanna made the experience worth the stop. She is definetly an asset to the business. Restaurant was very clean. Food was good. We will be back. Tammy n Troy from Quincy, IL

Newly renovated. It’s like all other Lion’s Choice restaurants, but the counter crews here are more like people than robots. Plus the butcher block salad has roast beef, ham and chicken — more meat than a sandwich! It’s quick, clean, the price is right, and the food is tasty.

This was our first time to eat here. The staff was very friendly and the order was ready very quickly. I would encourage anyone to give them a try!

The good news is the young man who took my order was very pleasant. However, I paid $9.17 for a turkey meal and the amount of meat on the sandwich took up 1/3 of the bun. Needless to say, after consuming the meal I was still hungry. Plus, the meat was salty. What a waste of money! I will not be returning to Lion’s Choice. I could have spent close to the same amount at Culver’s for a meal, and my hunger would have been satisfied.

Don’t get the Italian beef. Bread was so soggy it was impossible to eat.

Well, I really hate to make this update, but it is necessary. In my previous review, I was very happy to learn that Lion’s Choice offered a veteran and senior discount, which could be combined.

The roast beef sandwiches were so salty that me and the wife could only eat half of our sandwiches. We told the manager and all he could say was that he was sorry. He offered no help and didn’t offer our money back.
