Not only is this an awesome bar but it’s attached to a bowling alley. I have so much fun here every time I’m there. They have awesome karaoke. They have little vents that are pretty awesome too, the last one I was at was a burlesque event. I love their fried pickles and their chicken wings and their staff. I stumbled upon this place because of a friend who asked me to meet them up there, not realizing it was around the corner from my home. Literally have a blast every time I go.

This place is PHENOMENAL!!! You would never believe this is food from a bowling alley! Bar Down Grill is the restaurant/catering part of Poplar Creek Bowl. This place has been totally revamped, being run by this beautiful, fun, super nice lady named Diane and the food in unbelievable! Not only is the bowling fun but they host all these fun events and cater anything you need, host parties, baby showers, wedding receptions, you name it! They have a banquet room upstairs and they can make any kind of food you like. I’m so impressed with them and can’t wait to go back. They even have super affordable lunch specials!! Hidden gem for sure. Go check it out. Reuben egg rolls are to die for!

Just catered with Diane Marinelli and Bar Down Poplar Creek Bowl. Fabulous! It was a friends and family gathering over Christmas break. Delicious chicken Parmesan sliders, macaroni and cheese (sooo good) Italian beef eggrolls, veggie wraps, huge salad, and bruschetta. I picked it up in the afternoon and just warmed it up for 5 o’clock. Worked out perfect!!! Thank you Diane! Yummy and reasonably priced!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If any bartender hands you and old fashioned in a Collins glass with sugar coating bottom of the glass the bartender doesn’t know what they are doing. Asked the guy for a water and a check he said he be right with me they proceeded to bang around on the counter. Then pretend to check on someone when they did not need him took their glasses I’ve written this and yet to receive my check..

We celebrated my sons 13th birthday and the staff was great, attentive, and extremely communicative. We paid for our own darts, pool table and paid separately for bowling all of which was our plan. However, I ordered large tray and/or portions of fries, mozzarella sticks, wings and a salad and all of the portions were way smaller then expected and ended being over $550 not including drinks! I thought this was CRAZY for our neighborhood bowling/bar. Also a stella the day of was $8 and we’ve been there before and paid $6 for IPA’s.. my guests had a great time and the service was good, but I do think the prices were jacked up and we were taking advantage of.

The food is pretty good for sports bar food. The chicken noodle soup last night was excellent! Unfortunately, they are very short staffed and because of that service is very ow and spotty. Our server was pleasant and tried hard, but he just has too many tables to cover.

The food is good here, the place has only one pool table so if playing billiards is your priority you need to rethink your preferences. Drinks are decent as well. Service is quick. It only had one waitress managing all the bowling alleys of popular creek bowl during busy weekends. So in that scenario, one has to walk down to bar to order food.

We went to Bar Down for the first time on Saturday evening and we were very impressed! The sports bar area is newly renovated and a great place to watch a game or just hang out and have drinks and food. Bathrooms are meticulous (something not every sports bar has). The staff was very friendly and helpful for navigating the menu. We had the spinach dip which was out of this world delicious! Great food & drink specials too. Connected to the sports bar is a bowling alley which was hopping with activity. My daughter stayed busy with video games and pinball. Something for everyone! We will definitely be back next time we are in town.
