Standard American cuisine executed perfectly. The Hen House is a restaurant where you can get a home cooked meal. The Fish and Chips are delicious, as is the Fried Chicken. My wife enjoys their Liver and Onions and Chicken Fried Steak. They also offer burgers and standard Mexican fare. Every meal has been tasty. Service can just a little slow when they get busy.

As always, this is personal opinion and I am not writing this review as a DO NOT GO HERE. You may love this place! The good: the service here is friendly and quick, the pancakes are definitely delicious, and the coffee is decent! The “bad”: the green Chile here doesn’t have any flavor. Like at all. Unless you salt it. Now, I don’t know if this is a choice made so that people can decide how much or little to salt or pepper their own but I’m not a fan of needing to do that. Most of the other food also has no seasoning which, again, I’m not a fan of having to season my own food if I’m eating out. Especially because all I get is salt and pepper to do so with.

New owners need to get the clue! They need to take better care of their workers! The wife and I came in to enjoy the food and the great people who work there, BUT, these poor people have to deal with working in a kitchen that has no ac. They kept coming out to deliver food with sweat dripping from their faces! I walked by the door as is was open and I could just feel the heat radiating from that kitchen. And unfortunately the bathrooms look like a truck stop facility. Wish the old owner was still around.

I’m straightforward. Food lacked seasonings, and that good old flavor. It was ok. Nothing that screams out amazing to me. I ordered the chicken, okra, and Mac. Service with a smile but too busy for one person to manage apparently. Maybe another try….?

Such good food my work buddies and I had to come back the next day to try more. Everyone working here is very friendly. Chicken fried chicken bassist is excellent and the grilled chicken cordon Blu is fantastic. I highly recommend you try the Hen House Cafe

Great food. Got the breakfast sandwich and it was awesome. Servers was great. Buddies got the breakfast burritos and they pretty much destroyed them. Definetly one of the better breakfast restaurants I have been to. Prices were on point also. Hashbrowns weren’t under cooked or over cooked.

We get there and it was busy at first, waited patiently for food. Found debris in my coffee and they didn’t provide a new one or apologize what what I almost swallowed. One man got his food and we got there when he did. Waited longer, three more groups of people show up and get orders in. Over an hour later two of the three groups got their food and we still had nothing and didn’t even have more water to drink as they had not checked in on us since the groups sat down. Extremely terrible service, there was none, which is sad since my fiance and I went there a lot before new owners bought the place. Will now never be going back.

The decor is … all chickens. We picked out the cutest, ugliest, most religious, favorite holiday, we entertained ourselves with the decor. The place was busy so service was a bit slow but friendly. The food was fantastic. Prices were reasonable. I didn’t use the bathroom. Parking was free and convenient.
