We decided to try this new restaurant and are so happy we did. The Glen Cove area has needed a great Chinese restaurant for a very long time and we finally got one! Howard, the manager greets you warmly and can’t do enough to make your experience outstanding. The wait staff are also very good. The restaraunt is clean and attractive. Excellent hot and sour soup. The duck, which is the main attraction looked as though it wasn’t going to be crispy when it arrived but when we tried it, we found it to be quite good. We also tried the double cooked pork belly, which is very tasty and comes with red and green peppers as well as black bean sauce. It’s a bit spicy. We also had the cumin chicken, which was very good. Overall an excellent meal and we’ll be returning soon (with friends!) to try some of the other interesting dishes on the menu. Highly recommended!

James and staff were very welcoming. We enjoyed my fathers birthday here. My dad mentioned this place months ago after finding a writeup in the local newspaper and since I now live in Glen Cove, we had to come. Try the peeking duck, it’s excellent, crispy, sweet and tasty! They also deliver!!

A true game changer with Chinese food in the area. Best hot & sour soup that is made fresh. Chicken with chestnuts was excellent as well as the Chinese water spinach. Service is good, it’s clean and easy to park.

This restaurant had just opened a couple of weeks before I went there. A group of 4 we went on a Saturday night. The staff was friendly and the service was very good. When I called to make reservations they asked if we planned on having Peking Duck and took that order right away. They are still new and hadn’t had their liquor license when we got there but allowed us to bring in wine/beer if we wanted to. I don’t know the current status of their license. The Peking Duck was good – a little fattier than I’m used to and the skin wasn’t crispy – but still had a good taste. Once it was cut for the pancakes they took the remainder of the duck back and cooked it a little more with salt and pepper (for an small additional fee – there are two options for the remainder of the meat but I can’t at this time remember the second). We also had scallion pancakes, sauteed bean leaf, and fried rice with our meal. All of which were very good! I look forward to going back and trying other items on the menu!

The most authentic Chinese food I’ve had on the island. Call a day in advance and ask for the full Peking duck. It usually comes with it as a soup as well so there’s no waste. Menu items cater to all ranges of food eaters and if you want to be adventurous there’s also dishes with sea cucumber, turtle and chicken feet. Can’t wait to go back for another culinary experience.

Authentic Chinese food ever! The food tasted fresh and delicious, and the service is great. I’ve been coming for nearly a year and always order a whole duck with several dishes. To highlight, the prices are also reasonable (entrees $15-20). Come! You will be sorry to miss it.

The Peking duck is expensive and not authentic, however the meat is tender and it tasted good. They use homemade, but smaller wraps. The rest of the food we didn’t like at all. Some dishes (like the lion’s head casserole and the shrimp with mushrooms) were way overly sweet. Other dishes (like the fish & tofu) were way too oily. Then there were dishes like the string beans which were woody and we were spitting out the fibrous parts).

We’ve had their food 4 or 5 times for take out and it is stellar. Reminds me of Han dynasty in philly. This is not typical Chinese; it is way better. The cumin lamb is fantastic. My wife is in love with the chicken with eggplant. I’m a big fan of the szechuan wontons which are served in a chili oil. We haven’t eaten in house yet but we will be getting the duck when we do!

I don’t understand why the rating here is so low because this place is SO GOOD. If you’re looking for general Tso’s chicken or beef and broccoli, maybe try somewhere else. If you’re looking for nicely flavored, well cooked roast duck over rice, yummy eggplant tofu casserole and delicious non-mushy ho fun, this is your place.

Nice interior, and the spicy sauté lamb & beef dish they recommended to me was delicious. Not a cheap option but there was enough to take home for lunch the next day (and it was still good after reheating).
