Let me say all the 5star reviews are true… we typically eat at another Mexican restaurant up the street but we “cheated” and are glad we did. The menu is extensive…it was hard to decide on what to eat. The food was delicious…we were stuffed. Prices were reasonable. (They can miss me with the margarita….my husband tried it and liked it so you will have to decide for yourself). Don’t let all the cars fool you, the size of restaurant is decent and service fast….oh yeah, the customer service is great. Two up

My appetizer came out extremely fast but it took over 40 minutes for my main order to come out. The person waiting on me was extremely apologetic and very kind. The guacamole casero had to much cilantro and jalapeno for my taste. The food was all good but lacking in seasoning. I’ll still return due to the kindness of the staff.

I went on a Saturday at 12pm and it wasn’t that busy. I was able to get seated right away. The staff was VERY nice throughout my entire visit. I ordered 2 chimichangas and added shrimp. They were a little smaller than I’m used to but they were still good. There was an upcharge of $4 for 6 shrimp. The refried beans, rice and guacamole salad that came with the meal was good. I also ordered a small Texas Margarita on the rocks. It was pretty strong (which I’m grateful for). The prices weren’t bad. I got everything for under $24. Overall I’d definitely visit again and try some other dishes.

With every star. I went outside the menu and ordered chorizo nachos and they were not greasy, nice browned bits and packed some heat. The queso is really good here and nachos had a great toasted taste to them. The salsa is great as well. Add all that delicious food to great and friendly service and you have a winner when it comes to Mexican.

A nice looking place. I’ve been here a few times. Service is good.The food looks good, but they gotta get some seasonings for flavor. It just don’t taste good. I came with a big birthday party the last time, and the talk of the table was blame food. Do better please.

Where do I even begin?! First off, the moment we walked into this lovely joint the atmosphere captured our hearts! Second, the staff is the friendliest in town! They check on you several times and answer any questions that you may have! Third, the food is to die for! It’s so delicious! This is a must stop place if you are ever in the area! We are regulars of Los Vaqueros and Mi Casa but decided to try Los Molcajetes on a whim. One of the best Mexican places I have been to, anywhere. The margarita is leagues better than others in Albany. The food is too. Even the table salsa was on point. Very flavorful and not watery. We will be coming back as this is now the only Mexican place in town worth going to. Great, friendly staff too!
