My first visit here I asked for the best hamburger they could make and I think I got it. Don’t get me wrong it was not a fantastic burger but it was good and good enough for me to make a second visit. On the second visit I got a shrimp and fish plate. Needless to say I was pretty good but missed the mark in two areas. The meal was almost cooked blackened and the fried shrimp was lacking any true flavor. But that was a darn good hamburger.

Had the 3pc fish dinner with green beans and corn! I must say this was the best fish I’ve had in a loooong. The fish was fry so good (crispy) and seasoned very well, the sides were on point! I cleaned my plate as you can see. I’m definitely going there again when I’m back in Mobile!!!!

This location is real. Huge Cook cheeseburgers just now. Amazing Fries! I’ve also tried the giant grilled shrimp, and they’re fantastic! The manager, James, is incredibly amiable and provides excellent customer service. Fresh food is prepared according to order.

I usually don’t cook on Fridays, so opt to do take-out of some kind if my finances “agree.” Sam’s Southern Eatery is relatively new here for me so I tried them out for the first time several months ago. They serve mostly seafood, especially Swai fish and Shrimp…and you can get them deep fried, broiled, or baked. I’m partial to fried, and let me tell you…absolutely delicious! This is now my go-to and the first place I think about when I don’t feel like cooking! It’s always cooked to order so it is still piping hot when I get home. Their prices are soooo very reasonable. You can get a family meal for six for less than $30! That’s about what you would pay here for 3 meals at BK or Micky D’s. It has a wonderful family centered ambiance. I recommend it to all my friends and family!

Born and raised in Mobile but moved to Baldwin county a few years ago I noticed this place was in the old Taco Hell and had to stop by. Wow was I impressed! I’ve managed a few family owned restaurants and this place was amazing!!! Great customer service! Was no need to ask for condiments or forks or napkins! Excellent! Fresh, Hot, flavorful, seasoned food. We ordered the fried fish, fried shrimp, red beans and slaw. My son ordered the shrimp poboy with fries. The fries were crispy and great flavor. Love they wrapped the poboy in foil making it easier to eat, and the soft bread so much better than New Orleans poboy bread. It’s so tough and way too much bread in my opinion. Great house sauce! The red beans so flavorful! The slaw was OK but not bad at all! The fish was out of this world! Crispy, fresh, flaky, tender, flavorful, and complimented so well by the Sam’s sauce! So glad I stopped! A hidden gem! Keep doing what you doing!!! Will be back for sure!!!
