We were trying to decide where to get lunch today, and figured we’d give the “new” 1873 Grille a try. It used to be the Corner Pocket in Portage, and I’ve always liked the atmosphere there. We were both very impressed. The Buffalo chicken wrap was awesome, and my girlfriend’s peanut butter burger was very good also. Also one of the best Bloody Mary’s in this area.

Stopped in for lunch on our road trip. Great tenderloin sandwich and fries. Husband ordered a coffee. It came in a black cup and was literally just hot water. Not sure if the coffee machine was working correctly or if the waitress didn’t know how to use it? Other than that, our food was good, service was great!

Popped in while in the area. Ordered bloodies and food. The bloody was fantastic, love that you get bacon, cheese curds, beef stick along with the standard garnish Yum I did the Buffalo Chicken wrap with fries. The hubby did the black n blue burger (can’t remember name) The wrap was ok, wish there was more lettuce n the tomatoes seemed mushy? I’m picky on wraps in that I wish more places mixed ingredients rather than layer. There were random chuncks of blue cheese, which I love, but if all mixed i think the wrap would be better. Hubby loved the burger and their fries are the best ever!!! Shout out to the sweet lady working, she was so busy but made sure you were doing good. You were amazing. Look fwd to coming back.

Wonderful yummy place to eat. We traveled A little out-of-the-way to get there, but it was totally worth it! All of our food was yummy! The crab dip was amazing! Loved the sweet fries! Wonderful wonderful service and environment. The owner has great parents (who are servers). Will definitely come back.

Had a great meal with my family at 1873. Many thanks to Bill for making it a great experience even though I was wearing a Chicago Bears sweatshirt in Packers country. I had the Black Bean Wrap with Sweet Potato Fries and it was one of the best vegetarian meals I’ve had in a pub setting. Washed it down with two different craft beers. My wife had the weekend special Smothered Beef Tenderloin sandwich and really like it. Kids had Sunrise Burger and Chicken Strip basket. Bill made us feel special even though he was the only one working in the dining room on a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommended.

We love corner pocket! The food is sooo good and it always is! We’ve been coming here consistently for the last 2-3 years. But one thing that hasn’t changed is how nasty their signature drinks are thus why we usually order carry out to get the food and eat at home. We have tried time and time again hoping for better! Even talking with waitstaff and bartenders. We hoped this time eating in would be different but no.
