Smithwick’s is a clear beer with a rich ruby color and creamy head. A clean, delicate aroma with different individual notes: from the top fermentation by the Smithwick yeast come aromatic esters creating a fruity aroma. The Aroma Hops added late in the boil contribute clean fresh floral notes. Ale Malt contributes aroma hints of biscuit and caramel. Taste comes with a gentle balance of bitterness from the hops added early in the boil, sweet/malty notes from the ale malt, and hints of roast/coffee from the roasted barley.

Delicious food! The table was narrow and slightly difficult with two people sitting directly across from one another but it was a charming tavern with fun themed cocktails. The pretzels and fried pickles with beer cheese were all amazing and the french dip sliders and fries were fantastic. Highly recommend. They did ask if we had a reservation so maybe call ahead- we didn’t have one but were seated immediately anyway.

It looks like I picked a tough day for Hamilton on Memorial Day. The manager told me that they were badly understaffed, and the manager was having to run the bar himself. But, he was super courteous and working hard to get drinks out to everyone. Their beer selection was limited because he said they don’t get their deliveries until Tuesday, and the beer garden out back was closed as well.

Bar and Restaurant in central Boston. Kitchen is open late. Drinks are decent and menu is geared towards American historical figures. Ribs were OK and Espresso Martini had a few options. The service was attentive and fast. Atmosphere is that of a gastro pub.

The food and drinks were amazing. I was visiting from Ohio and left my purse behind unfortunately. My flight was the next day and the owner Greg was amazing he found my purse and contacted me and was able to get it back to me before my flight!!!! This type of help I have never seen and was next to amazing!!!! I will be definitely be returning for not only the food but the amazing owner and staff!!!

My friends and I recently visited this bar on Saint Patrick’s day and I have to share my disappointing experience. The live music was incredibly loud and unpleasant, making it difficult to enjoy our time there. However, the Irish dancers were fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed their performances.

The staff paid particular attention to our comfort level, adjusting sound levels down because we had asked to be seated in a quieter area. The food was very good, with excellent parmesan truffle fries and a baby kale salad featuring fruit that blended flavors perfectly. Peach mango drafts cider rounded out the meal and no one had room for dessert.

First review I’ve ever written. I just ordered chicken and waffles for take out, and have literally never been more disappointed by a food order more in my life. Only three tiny pieces of subpar chicken, and a cold rubbery waffle. I’ve heard it’s better if you go in person but that order was honestly for what it cost it was kind of insulting.
