This was amazing. I was recommended the seafood tacos and they were delicious. The staff was very friendly and the outside porch overlooked some horses/cows/donkeys! Great food, staff, and atmosphere. I really loved it here and I will be coming back during my next visit! Thank you so much to the kitchen.

Not the best performance for a restaurant that has high reviews. The server was quite friendly but they lost our order. We waited for over 30 minutes before she realized we didn’t have any food. Then couldn’t remember what we ordered. It took 50 minutes for us to get our food from the time we were seated. Our waitress did take total responsibility, which is noteworthy. She was a sweetheart. The food was quite good. Ordered a Carne asada Chimicanga. Good flavor and filling. The rice was especially good, buttery and full of flavor.

Wonderful time at Monica’s. Had the fish nachos, flautas and fish tacos. Fresh catch was ahi tuna and it was delicious. Big portions. Each of my tacos basically had a tuna steak in it. Nothing here was skimped on. The Paloma and Mai Tai cocktails were good too. Staff was friendly.

Went to dinner here at the suggestion of a local. It was amazing! The food is good, the drinks are great, and we got to watch goats play while we ate dinner (the goats are the highlight of the trip for my 7 year old so far). My only complaint is that the open face shrimp quesadilla needed more shrimp.

The place is pricey, but the quality of the food was some of the best Mexican we’ve had. The homemade taquitos are excellent and the fajitas are fresh and tasty. We actually liked the appetizer taquitos better than the fajitas, but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything. The service was also exceptional.

I was here a year ago and couldn’t wait to come back. This was one of my bucket list restaurants that I would be devastated to miss on my 2nd stay in Kaua’i. To begin the Staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful experience. The food is second to none and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone who visits Kaua’i or lives in Kauai’i. The Drinks are top notch and worth a try. If you are unsure where to go for lunch or dinner this is a must. Lastly the Goats are great entertainment if they happen to make a visit.

This place was great. It was a little expensive but definitely quality food and delicious too! We had taquitos and a spinach salad with Hipa fish. The catch of the day fish. It was very good, I scarfed the salad down and helped my fiance with her taquitos, which were delicious as well. Unfortunately you don’t get chips and salsa, you have to pay for them and seemed a little overpriced so we passed on that. Overall good place for dinner.

A really solid choice for a Mexican meal, so long as you’re happy to pay the prices! (There’s way cheaper taco trucks around but this is a good restaurant experience) There is seating inside and out (watch the goats in the field next door!), And a large menu of choice. We had the fajitas, chips and salsa and fish tacos- fish of the day was ahi, as it seems to be everywhere, everyday in Kauai! The portions are big and the flavours good, although I would like a little more heat. There’s a decent drinks menu with all the usual Margheritas. Shame they close so early as we felt a bit rushed to finish.
