Ordered some food here during the MVAAFF and it was okay (overpriced and kinda bland) but they failed to tell us that there was already food available for festival guests which turned out to be significantly better that the cod fritters I had ordered. The fish was light and flaky, rice was well cooked and seasoned and the chicken was flavorful. Overall the plate saved the rating. The bartender ended up calling last call early cause she got annoyed and yelled at a customer so that was weird, especially for an event. Not sure if I’d return.

Great food and away from the crowds on a busy July weekend made for a great brunch. The bartender at the adjacent VFW was super friendly too.

The restaurant is at the VFW but should show up on your GPS. The service is a five. Very professional and friendly. My jerk chicken was good, the rice was excellent, and the potatoes were finger-looking good. The mac & cheese could have been better. It was edible, but I have yet to have any typical soul food mac & cheese, on Martha Vineyard. I love my Caribbean food, but for those from the major cities, the food options are limited; this is one of 3 places you can eat, and the food is delicious compared to the rest of the island.

My friend heard about Chef Dion’s. It is located in same building as Oak Bluff’s VFW. Parking on premises. Cash bar is through VFW. Restaurant was clean, charming with Caribbean vibes. Good selection of dishes for all spice palates. Casual dining on disposable plates. Food was delicious! Prices were reasonable.

You’re missing out if you don’t eat here. The food is great, the whole family is charming, and everyone left in a better mood than they arrived.

This was my first time visiting Chef Dion’s, though I have wanted to try it for a while. Note that this is located in a VFW hall, so the atmosphere might not be for everyone. But if you want really well prepared food with a Carribean flair, do not miss this place. We got the BBQ chicken wings, jerked chicken, and the ribs, and everything was excellent. The face on the wings was sticky but not too sweet, the chicken had just the right spicy kick, and the ribs were great as well. The sides were also delicious, like the rice with a hint of saffron. Because it is a VFW, a) the people are super friendly, b) you have to walk into the adjoining bar room to get your drinks, but c) the drinks are very reasonably priced. Give it a try!

OMG!! AMAZING food for reasonable prices in an inviting and warm atmosphere that wasn’t overcrowded on MV!?!?! Make sure to save room for the best Key Lime Pie I have ever had for dessert. However, please keep this off-the-beaten-path GEM-OF-A-FIND a secret among just us locals during the tourist season, OK?
