It can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a long time if you do walk in. Best to call for reservations.

I believe that most of people in the US still don’t know Motsu Nabe which is an intestine hot pot and how tasty it is.

The grilled beef tongue is the star tonight. Sweet shrimps are tasty but not special. I also like beef wrapped uni, my first time trying it and it was GOOD. The miso soup is not too bad but I don’t think it is necessary for the meal. Mayo crispy shrimps are not recommended. Overall, we had a great time here. The staff are so nice and friendly! Will come back again! ❤

Solid izakaya, albeit with a relatively limited menu. We loved everything we ordered. The sukiyaki on cold udon was a really pleasant surprise. They even crack a soft, runny egg on top at the table. Beautiful and delicious.

Very good food. The beef tongue was our favorite. It has a very thick cut and is tender as well as very well seasoned. The oysters, salmon and eel sushi, we ordered, were very fresh.

This is the dinner spot I show my love ones to because this place is amazing!! It is best my all it means from the food, the service, the location, and the vibe. Located in Costa Mesa, the restaurant looks normal (not too big not too small) but has the best dishes in the area. It serves fresh Japanese Izakaya dishes with liquor, it is a good spot for a dinner after work to the weekend spot where you can drink. If you go in the weekend, make sure to reserve the table or you can easily wait in line up to 2 hours. I basically come here often and eat everything on the menu but the below are my favorites.

Savory, meaty glory in every bite and dishes they serve. I could easily spend over $100 here and order any of the beef, pork and chicken dishes. Make a reservation as sometimes the restaurant can have a long wait for walk ins. They have propane tank heaters and the staff is complaint with safety measures dining outside during covid. Ordered beef tongue, steak, omakase sashimi, chicken wings, pork cheek, intestines and uni & beef sashimi. The beef tongue is my favorite for the medium rare umami taste that melts in your mouth.

Good food and good service at this authentic Japanese spot in the OC. Good selection of Japanese sake and beer. We ordered one of the set dinners for four and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food overall. Definitely worth a look.
