The ribs were soft but the rub used is too strong and I just didn’t like the taste, it was just over spiced. The salads were nice, so was the potato soup, and the steak was perfect. All in all pretty good but bit on the expensive side. And I really didn’t like the taste of the ribs. I would have given 3 stars but the staff were excellent which bumps the rating to 4.

We were traveling through Amarillo and decided to stop here for dinner. I can say it was the best dinner I’ve ever had. I got the ribeye and it was a perfect medium rare, even though it was kinda thin they still managed to get it perfectly cooked and the seasoning was on point. I got it smothered with onions and mushrooms with mashed potatoes. It was the ultimate bite. My dad got the full rack of ribs which were the best ribs I’ve ever had. They perfectly fell off the bone and tasted amazing. We ended off with a slice of their carrot cake which was a huge slice. It was super moist and delicious. It was light and airy but not super rich and sugary! Additionally, our server Tyler was super nice and attentive. Overall would highly recommend!!

We were on the road driving across country and decided that would be our place for supper 6 hrs later. We called to see if we should make a reservation and we spoke with Javier, the manager there. What a wonderful young man. He knew his establishment well and took our reservation just in case. He even said he’d be sure to stop by and see us later. A man of integrity, that he did. He wasn’t only kind and caring to us, but as we observed how busy he was, he was still taking that genuine care with others as well. Great food, great service. Garrett was our server, amazing young man. His timeliness and attention to detail was just wonderful.

Saltgrass has always been one of my favorite places to dine, and with good reason. Recently, one of my visits fell short of what I’ve come to expect, and I shared those details in a previous review. In true fashion, this company stepped up and went above and beyond to make sure that experience was made right. We were invited back, and Will, Javier, and their staff at the Amarillo location provided an experience I’ll not soon forget. They went above and beyond anything I could have expected and made sure our steaks were on point and overall experience was above par from start to finish. I can’t say enough about the commitment to customers that this company exemplifies. We returned for my husband’s birthday a few weeks ago, and once again, everything was absolutely amazing! This time, I tried the salmon, and it was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, tender, and very flavorful. Thank you to Will, Javier, the Saltgrass staff, and the company for doing what many other businesses fail to do. The consistency in food quality and service is unmatched and present through every location I’ve visited. We’ll definitely be back!

Steaks were good! All food was good. Poor service, we had to even wait for a hostess, wondering why so many people passed us by but wouldn’t seat us; could be that we came at 3pm. No one had a name tag on. Love salt grass but will visit different locations next time.

I definitely have to say… That if you don’t have to do take out…Don’t! The last time I had eaten at Saltgrass Steak House was several years ago, The staff was Amazing and just being able to enjoy the atmosphere, along with whomever you are out enjoying your time with; or if it’s just out enjoying yourself!

Busy Saturday at 4 pm, but were seated immediately. Jaiden was our server. Bread, tea. And our appetizer came out promptly but our entrees took over an hour and when they finally came to the table everything was cold except my sweet potatoe, which was overdone( see pic- black). Fries, steak and shrimp were not even warm. Grilled shrimp great flavor but would have been better hot. Same with fried shrimp. Husband very upset but manager and waiter offered to refire but we are truck drivers and could not wait. He offered to comp meal. We did tip Jaiden . Definitely a problem in the kitchen!
