Probably the best NM food we’ve had. Chile Rellenos had texture and taste, Enchilada just right seasoning, Sopapillas just fluffier and fresher than others. Staff friendliness just that much nicer meal.

Good food at decent prices. Nice folks that run the place too.

Hot fresh vegetarian food. Whole beans and Spanish rice are vegan. My husband (the meat eater) said these were some of the best enchiladas he’d ever eaten. I’m trying to talk them into carrying a good veggie burger as well. across the street from the Harvey House museum.

Food was tasty but red Chile was bit hot. After initial basket of chips and salsa, we were charged.for additional cups and salsa. Wasn’t the same restaurant I remember growing up. The restaurant closes at 7, and felt rushed.

Pete’s has magic. The Magic Kitchen that creates and prepares the wonderful food, the Magic Ambiance and Venue which can at times include a meal outdoors in the protected, shade-tree patio, and the Magic Staff who are on top of your order and table at every turn.

Julisa was the absolute sweetest! She was bussing tables and treated us better and with more respect than anyone at the restaurant! I haven’t been here for 10 years and I’m happy I came back.

I loved the sopapillas, they are soft, yet crispy, good kind of greasy and perfect tasting. That said the chili is hooot, it sweet that they let you know and you can ask to taste. It’s great on price. The rice is on the dry side. The red chili is thick and kinda paste like, not my preference. The tacos were ground beef (meat was dry) and shells looks store bought. The salsa was hot and chips were good, skip the guacamole. The have good calabasita, but I like mine topped with cheese. The soda has crushed ice and perfect fizz and syrup combo, get a to go cup. I would go back only for the soda and sopapillas alone.

Interesting how the restaurant is in an old house in Belen, very beautiful paintings and decor. We stopped in for lunch, we had been waiting some time for the reopen. We ordered the special and a taco plate, both came out pretty quickly and tasted good. The sopapillas were amazing! Nice clean areas to eat and clean restrooms, amazing, friendly service and right next door to the Harvey girl museum. No liquor license at this time but they are in the process of getting it so hopefully soon we can add some libations to the grub.
