What a refreshing new restaurant on Shem! Great food, service and drinks. The menu has been thoughtfully designed to have a unique dining experience with a twist on some southern staples and seafood. The colorful atmosphere is the perfect place to watch the boats and dolphins on the creek. The patio gets a nice breeze too, going to quickly become the new go-to summer spot! Not pictured but don’t skip out on on the sunsets slush, it’s delicious!!

AMAZING experience here. We loved our server Kelly, she was so upbeat, attentive, and had great recommendations. The tuna bites appetizer was delicious and the sushi was phenomenal. Overall feels like sunshine in the place!! Maybe because of the huge windows, bright colors, and ocean view. Will definitely be returning and hope to see this place really pop out with its grand opening in August!

It’s always fun times when sushi is involved! This weekend my sister treated me to a new Shem Creek hot spot!! If you LOVE sushi, seafood and great drinks this place is a must try. Sushi is only served upstairs. Our waiter Sam helped us choose really great options and was so welcoming!

Sunsets has a very different atmosphere than the other Shem Creek restaurants, much less rustic and more polished. The entrees and desserts were very good. I was completely surprised by the innovative and delicious french fries. I haven’t ever had fries like that. They were great! Parking on Shem Creek is always a challenge.

EXACTLY WHAT THE CREEK NEEDED! I am thrilled with this new addition to the creek! Where do I start? Just try it! You will NOT be disappointed! I have had almost every dish on the menu both upstairs and down and have enjoyed every dish. I can’t even recommend one thing because it is ALL great! The cocktails are unique. They have Eagle Rare 10 year if you are a Bourbon drinker. You have to try their Solar flower drink in the sunflower glass!!! Addicting. Upstairs is all sushi and it’s some of the best I have ever had! Presentation is amazing. Service is the best. Go see Norma at the bar or ask for Christy or Kyle! The build out is amazing. It’s bright and cheery! I mean you are on the most amazing creek! I think locals will be excited about this restaurant. It’s fresh! No fried food at all!!!! Try the hush puppies!!! Just try it all!

Being a Charleston native and going to the creek every night for happy hour, you tend to be snoody about trying new restaurants on your turf. Don’t. Be. This place was (I’ll admit) unexpectedly amazing. It’s new so the word hasn’t gotten out yet but with the 118 degree heat index today I’m so happy

The location is stellar, and for a new restaurant to open up and raise the bar of that area is phenomenal and a testament to its preparation. First, Sunsets has an incredible vibe, such a critical, often overlooked aspect to being successful. Beautifully remodeled, excellent music, amazing views inside and out. Loved it!!

So I have been living in Mount Pleasant for almost 3 years now. When I moved down, this building was vacant. When my girlfriend and I saw that a new restaurant was opening we were excited. We had a wait time of 30mins which is typical (they don’t take reservations) on a Friday night. The waiter was great no complaints there but the pricing for the food in my opinion was extreme for what was given. We asked if we could have 8 oysters, told only 6 or a dozen. We instead ordered the lobster devil eggs. They were good, but 4 for $14 I’m all set. This is Shem creek, not Halls Chophouse. Anyways, the manager comes out of nowhere and apologizes to us for denying the oysters because it was $36 for a dozen and we were told we had to order a dozen or get lost basically. They put the oysters on the house for the 6 which was a friendly gesture, I honestly wasn’t expecting that but it props to them for doing it. So this is where it gets good, I order the seafood Stew. In my head (I’m from the northeast) it was $38. I’m expecting a legitimate stew. Nope. 6 pieces of shrimp. Some sausage and then half a snow crab with a joke of a puddle in the bowl with corn and potatoes. In my mind when you say stew, I’m expecting a stew. When they served my girlfriend and myself I didn’t have the proper appliances to break the shell of the snow crab. I understand the restaurant has just started but if you are going to open a restaurant, make sure your “ducks are all in a row”. I spent $130 for overpriced food and one alcoholic beverage (including tip). Tavern and Table was the most overpriced place for food at Shem Creek but this place takes the cake. I do not recommend spending your money here, at least on the Seafood Stew.

This place was such a disappointment. I took my niece who was visiting from out of town. The restaurant is beautiful. It is beautifully decorated and located in a great spot. But… The service was horrible. The waiter would disappear. Had trouble getting ice water. The food was mediocre at best. The seafood did not taste fresh and did not contain a lot of flavor.
