This is a stopover for C&O canal trail users and boaters using the ramp by the cafe. Though its greatest aspect is its location, right on the trail, the food is great. Straight forward American fare that is prepared well with good ingredients. There is limited indoor dining, but I have always been able to find a seat. Outside dining is also available. Parking is free and plentiful. Closed one day a week, currently Tuesday, so check to make sure you’re hiking/biking on a day when they are open.

Very cute country store/restaurant on the water. The trails are well kept and worth a hike or bicycle ride in the beautiful area.

When you get your food it is very good. However, considering the number of customers, the service is exceptionally slow. It is very convenient for bicyclists that are riding on the C&O Canal tow path. I did not notice any handicap parking spots, and it is a very old building not really wheelchair friendly. The ferry is no longer in service, I believe it was shut down during COVID and never reopened.

These guys make a really great burger! If you are in the area, it is worth the trip.

This is a great place to stop for a bite. We like to do a nice 26 mile ride and grab some food here along the way. The staff is very nice. There are picnic tables outside or indoor seating. There are also proper bathrooms right outside.

We went there for lunch. I had a bacon cheeseburger, my wife had a beyond burger. Both were great. Split an order of fries. We sat at their outdoor tables, overlooked the river. All was great. Will be back. We just went back again. Ordered the same, still great. Sitting outside near the Potomac river, still great.

Food was good but they won’t let you use any water (you have to buy it in bottles). Very weird that a place that serves food and has water won’t let you wash your hands. I see why so many riders on the C&O trail say to just pass this place by

Wonderful. My wife and I have been twice this spring. It’s a great spot. The cheeseburgers are top notch and they have very good sides to go with them. The location is great too, it’s nice to sit and watch the river. Bonus: They have good cheap beers that you can drink on premises.

Bikers Beware: $20 for a meal and they won’t even fill a water bottle. This is especially frustrating since C and O canal Park no longer treats the pump water at the Hiker/Biker campsites. Bikers must make up a good portion of the Grill’s business, surely they could give away some tap water.
