Ribs tasted baked like they cook them in the oven not a smoker. They don’t put the sauce or ketchup or anything out for you anymore. Very uninviting dining room in general. They DO NOT want you to eat there. The ice cream machine is out of commission. In fact, the sign telling me to leave this review is on the old broken ice cream machine. Lol! The bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in weeks by the looks of it. Dickeys in general has been on a steady decline for the past few years. Service was fine if a bit curt. So disappointing.

I went in today and tried Dickey’s for my first time, could not be more impressed. Andrew, the only worker there was doing a great job by himself and I’m glad he was the one that made my pulled pork sandwich. Came out better than I had expected for a fast food style BBQ. This place sucks. I showed up a couple of weeks ago with an old college roommate from OH and the young man behind the counter literally sad they were out of meat. This past Friday night, their website wouldn’t complete the food delivery transaction online, so I called into the store where the young man who answered gave me “staffing reasons” for why the website didn’t work, and then said they didn’t take delivery or pickup orders over the phone on weekends… WTH??!!

I’ve been looking for a BBQ place in South Bay for a while and found this gem tucked away by the beach. A+ plus service. Incredibly delicious tender fall off the bone ribs. It was lunch rush so not everything was ready for me so the manager gave me extra sides and a tub of their delicious BBQ sauce for free. Very impressed with the service. What a great treat!!! Also highly impressed with the environmentally conscious recyclable takeout boxes. That deserves an extra A+. Notice that there was a large photo of Ronald Reagan with the owners on the wall. If it’s fit for a president it’s definitely good for you!

My daughter and I used to eat here everyday. Then, we watched as the manager/owner changed the prices in front of our eyes. They nearly doubled the cost of everything in the store from when they opened. The portions are getting smaller and the service is getting salty. They charged me $16 for basically one portion of Mac and Cheese. $16 for what used to be $5.

Dickey’s normally has good BBQ and the food here was flavorful however, the portions on my 2 meat plate were extremely tiny. If it hadn’t been for me purchasing a 3rd side, I would have left hungry.
