We ordered the small plates and so glad we did because if they considered that the small plate, I can only imagine what the large plates looks like, it was so much food, to the point I still needed a to go box to finish the rest later. Everything can to us at a timely manner, very fresh and hot. Our waitress was very friendly the restaurant was very crowded, even with it being so crowded, we didn’t have to wait for them to clean a table for us it was ready and they walked us straight back. It can be a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

The service wasn’t too good, but the food was. My Alfredo did come out lukewarm but it was flavorful. The chicken tenders didn’t have much flavor but they were huge! The flounder was FRESH! AND BIG! VERY FLAVORFUL! That might of been the best mozzarella sticks I ever had!!

My hubby got this as take out! Can you believe 7 pieces of whole freshest catfish that comes with 1 side (potato salad) and naturally he got another side of collard greens with hish puppies!!! He was in heaven!! Said well seasoned and delicious!

Oh yeah!!!! Thanking my brother for this little gem. I’m a fan of hushpuppies, and they have the best ones I’ve ever tasted in my life. OMG!! I ate so many I could barely eat my meal; which was amazing, by the way. Our server was super super good at his job. Shared a bit of history with us that explained his expertise. He was fabulous!! Captain Steve’s gets my vote!! Oh and came out to this….

I’ve been in CLT since 2004 and have never been to this place. The fancy seafood places were all so terrible here that I never tried the home grown ones. This was my mistake. This place was spotless inside. The people were friendly and efficient at their jobs. We had Giovanni serving us and he was top notch. The food was all great too. My friend got a boiled hot shrimp plate. I ordered blackened flounder and perch, which I don’t think I have ever had before. Everything was above par and the prices were very reasonable for lunch. Well done, Captain & team!

Love this place! Great food, atmosphere and impeccable service. Especially from Reggie! He was by far one of the best servers I have ever had while eating out. This used to be my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. But since COVID, they have closed their Monroe Rd location, raised their prices and there is no longer the option to order a “small plate” at dinner-the only option is large, which forces you to spend more money. The food is good but part of the appeal used to be affordability and convenience. Now you have to go to either Ft Mill or Harrisburg to dine here and spend 2x the money that you used to, if you used to order the small plate!
