Cafe Med is THE BEST. Hands down. We dine there frequently and bring different friends with us each time we go because we want to share their food with everyone we know. We have never had an issue with making reservations, but definitely recommend making them. The menu is updated regularly so each time we go we try something different and every single thing we’ve had has been delicious. We’ve also had a great experience with service each time we’ve been. The staff are kind, funny, knowledgeable, and hospitable. The atmosphere is intimate, which we enjoy. Those commenting about flies in their reviews…in the summer they have sliding doors and windows that they open for an open air dining experience. We haven’t taken issue with that because the breeze provides a lovely summer ambiance and, in any open air dining experience, a fly or two is to be expected.

Hands down my new favorite restaurant in Eugene — and I’m a seasoned server and restaurant goer. The menu includes a great variety of spectacular dishes. So far my favorite dishes are the duck and the mushroom pasta! Wonderful service from wonderful people. The tiramisu is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Great spot for every occasion. Going back next week!

What a sweet restaurant! The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. The atmosphere reminds us of our stay in Cinque Terre, Italy. The food was wonderful! (And reasonably priced!) Our party of three shared plates: Appitizers were Carpaccio di Manzo and Fritto Misto… followed by Milano Pinsa and Linguine Vangole… Lemon Sorbet and Coppa Limoncello for dessert (which was a beautifully light and flavorful way to end the meal). The cappuccino was especially nice. We highly recommend and will return soon.

A nice meal, gift from the folks I’m pet sitting for who live nearby and recommend. Crab cake appetizer and a sesame crusted with black rice main. Tasty food, maybe could have used more spice for the crab cake.

I’ll first say, our waitress was great very attentive and sweet. However, that was the only thing that stood out to me. We have wanted to get in since it opened and have tried to get reservations before, but they have always been booked. We finally got to go this week and I can’t understand the hype. Flies everywhere, little to no leg room at the table, the plates almost had to sit on top of each other to fit. So, In other words the size was the factor in not being able to get a table not the overwhelming amount of patrons. It feels more like being shoved in a coat closet than going out to a nice restraunt and, forget about hearing anything the person you’re with is saying. The food was okay at best. The tortellini that we shared was not good. The chicken looked like the frozen kind you’d get at Costco, unseasoned and grossly tossed on top. Drinks were fine but expensive for what they were. The busboy came around and sprayed the tables next to us with cleaner that went all over our food and drink, which I didn’t particularly like. I was hoping to find some good Italian food in Eugene. All in all I won’t be back.

Walking up is a narrow doorway to the outside seating, and then you walk up to reception. We made a 7pm reservation and arrived about 10 early, as I noted. She offered to sit us at the bar or outside. I politely declined and the host accepted my reply. Right on the dot of 7pm we were seated at a nice, small corner table.

Lovely ambiance. Fantastic food. The menu feels genuinely European and the quality tastes right out of Milan. The service was excellent as well. Our server anticipated our needs and was friendly and professional. Perfect for a special night out!
