I feel the statement of “always made from scratch with fresh ingredients” is apropos – you can taste the freshness of the meats; tender, juicy, and flavorful. But what is best is the people – they are so pleasantly kind. Their vibe is one of genuinely good people, the type that this world needs more of.

We tried the Independence Schwarmar location today. It was absolutely delicious! So fresh and full of flavor. We each got a Falafel Deluxe Bowl and split fries, hummus with pita, dolmas and Baklava. I can’t wait to come back and try the Schwarma Bowl!

I ordered online but when I got to the restaurant it appeared to be closed. Apparently only the drive thru is open on Saturday evenings. Also, from the outside the building almost seems abandoned. Luckily, the food was ready as promised and was quite tasty, so now that I know it really isn’t an abandoned building, I would try it again.

A phenomenal culinary experience! We will be back. We got and shared a Kabab Bowl. It comes with Basmati rice, topped with a grilled to perfection mix of ground beef and lamb, topped with onion and parsley salad, drizzled with tahini sauce, and sprinkled with sumac. Then we also got a Shawarma Loaded Fries French fries loaded with chicken shawarma, onion and parsley salad, pickles, cucumber sauce, and garlic sauce. We loved them both. So delicious! We will be back!

The food was superb! We are from Iran and tasted different Mediterranean restaurants before. But this place is the best in Kansas City! The Felafel was fresh with a delicious tahini sauce and fresh vegetables. The portion of the food was good and it was reasonable with the price. The restaurant is so neat and delightful! I’ll recommend this place to friends for sure.

Absolutely delicious! The woman working was so nice too, really sweet and great customer service. I guess she could tell I hadn’t been there before and asked. When I said I hadn’t she then offered some suggestions and told me the best seller, #10. And it was so flavorful and delicious! Highly recommend! Get it with a side of falafel. Yum

I love this place. Shawarma was so good and had the flavors that I ate back in Middle East. The restaurant is just off of I 70 in Blue Springs area of Kansas City. I got off of I 70 to get gas from Costco and saw this place. It is a family that was operating it. Highly recommend.
