US hwy 50 claims be the nation’s loneliest highway. Nope. It’s Utah 21 from Garrison at great basin NP to the agricultural town of Milford… about 90 miles along which you might meet a half dozen cars. That makes one hungry! The first building you meet at the fringe of Milford is Penny’s. It’s a classic diner…but spiffy clean and new. Breakfast was generous, traditionally tasty, and friendly at the counter.

Great breakfast here. Other things aren’t the best but are average for this kind of place. It can take a bit to get food if they’re busy. Open 24/7 in the middle of nowhere so that’s awesome.
