The sushi here is AMAZEBALLS . I had the Cosmos and Maui Wowie Rolls and I fell back in my seat after taking my first bite (was THAT good ). I literally enjoyed every single bite and our server, Velia B., was awesome and she was so busy yet still took good care of us. The Cucumber lemonade was so refreshing. Fantastic experience .

I went for lunch at this location. There was no parking of course as it is lunch time. I park in the to go slot because my aunt who is handicap in the meantime until a slot becomes available. I go in and they tell me at the front I can’t park there, I then let him know there is no parking anywhere in the parking lot, that I will move my car once a spot becomes available. We get seated then a lady that doesn’t really know English very well with blonde hair and eyeliner comes to me and says I can’t park there. I let her know the situation and that as soon as a spot becomes available I will move my car. She tells me that I will not be served UNTIL I move my car!! Then continues on to tell me they are going to call the tow truck to tow my car!! I’m thinking if Kumori paid for those parking spots, they can at least have a paying customer use one as a spot becomes available!! So ridiculous!!! Even for my aunt who was handicap, what kind of restaurant does that to an older person like that.

Kumori is local’s go-to sushi place in Mc Allen, you just can’t go wrong. The food is fresh & delicious and the service is on point. The only thing is that portions are big, so you might want to consider sharing.

Our experience was soured by one dish. Spicy calamari was wet, cold and not tasty. After consultation with the waitress and manager they could not take that off the bill. Very disappointed. We arrived at 9pm and enjoyed a nice meal of other items. The other sushi items were very tasty. We tried the Gyoza, Cosmo roll, beef udon, mixed sushimi, and none of her items came with wasabi or Ginger we had to ask for it or calamari dish took longer than we expected and it was cold as we told our server, Karla was great

We went for dinner tonight and the food was okay, server tried her best, but the manager Emily was very rude. She turned off the Tv that we were watching the game on at 10:01. We asked her to turn it back on and she said No! As someone who’s worked in the service industry I find that EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE!

Didn’t get order correct and refused to complete order when I went in person to pick up the rest of it at the site. (Of note, had a receipt with less than half of the items crossed off). They offered me store credit as the only option to resolve the issue. They refused to complete the order despite it being placed 42 minutes prior to closing. Unhelpful staff. I used to love kumori but I’m disappointed with how I was treated today. Not to mention we paid for Uber eats to deliver this so it was already an inconvenience for us to go pick it up in the first place.
