Old Mexico has always been a family favorite but there’s been a decline over the last few months. We seem to end up with the same waitress who doesn’t appear to like her job too much. On our most recent visit, it took over ten minutes just to acknowledge us. The queso is sometimes delicious and sometimes cold and pasty. The al pastor tacos are consistently good but other dishes, are hit or miss depending on the day.

After ordering food from them at least once a week, often twice a week, for years because they were close to our house, we’ve finally decided we are done. They never answer their phone and the amount of times they have forgotten items in our order is unacceptable, whether it’s sauce, Salsa or an entire entree and it is way too often. Find another Mexican restaurant, there are way better ones in the Quad Cities with way better food. They truly don’t care.

Visiting area. Tried this out. Food and service were great. Restaurant was very clean. Recommend giving them a try for some wonderful Mexican dishes. Our 9 year old loved their chicken nuggets, fries and chicken taquitos.

Just argued with a server who stayed on her phone barely acknowledged my daughter and I sitting at a table next to the register where she was. After sitting for at least 3 minutes the guy who was cleaning tables, spraying chemicals and sweeping without gloves also took our order, served our drinks and food while she still stood behind the register on her phone. Upon finishing our food and approaching the register to pay she asked how was everything? I told her how rude she was and that the cleaner shouldn’t be serving food and cleaning without washing his hands or having gloves on, she lied and said he did when he went from cleaning straight to pouring our drinks and serving us chips and salsa and eventually our food! She said it was his turn to serve, that’s how she was trained, stormed off to the bathroom, slammed the door and left our sever to finish with me paying!
