From the outside it doesn’t look like much, … was it an old farm animal house? BUT don’t let that stop you! If you’re looking for good comfort food, they’ve got it. I like they’re fried chicken, but be warned, they make it to-order and would be about a 20 min wait. But if you know that’s what you want you can always call ahead too.

Just stopped by to grab a quick lunch to go. The BBQ combo is the way to go…awesome sandwich! Can’t beat the price, 7 dollars for sandwich, large fries, slaw and peanuts…cheaper than a Whopper and no need to say “Medium or large” and customer service is awesome! Amazing when you get a “hi” and a “thank you.” I will be back! Thank you.

I’ve probably drove pass Rodman’s 100 times, but today, after a long day of work, I stopped. I figured I’d just try a pound of their BBQ, and I wish I had gotten more! Great BBQ, awesome and patient service with a new customer who asked many questions. Will definitely be back for more!

Now, I could be a bit biased but Rodman’s defines good barbecue. My family has deep roots in the Tidewater area but I grew up in Michigan, visiting my grandparents in the summer. One of the highlights was always Rodman’s. Growing up in Michigan there was nothing like it anywhere else. I still remember the first time I had it and how unlike the red, sauce slathered mess I had experienced up north it was. I am ashamed to say that at 5 years old I put ketchup on my sandwich to make it more familiar. Now, at over 40, I know better. Their sweet cider vinegar sauce is perfection itself.

Rodman’s is a favorite of the locals. It’s been around forever. A one of a kind location. The BBQ, fried chicken, chicken salad, and other offerings are all great. And don’t forget to take home some of their delicious red-skinned peanuts. Highly recommended.

It says it was open at 8. We show up at 10 there was no food nothing was ready. The only thing u can order is cold BBQ sandwich that the can microwave up. The cold slaw serving was a tiny little Togo sauce holder. Smh. The pork doesn’t taste like BBQ kinda tatseblike they boiled in vinegar. Not worth the 4.3 stars.

I ate here, staff was not too friendly, and Carolina bbq was kinda dry. I’m from NC and if they served this in NC they wouldn’t be in business very long. Many people recommend this place, but even when I gave them a second chance it was the same. I go the place in Carrollton or make my own now.

Order 20 minutes ahead and the best fried chicken will be waiting when you arrive. You are able to order the chicken by peice, so everyone gets what they like! Delicious carolina bbq and potato salad. Picnic tables inside to eat. Located off right off bridge road, parking in front.
