Great Italian food and pizza. I had a chicken Parm and the bread was toasted on the outside perfectly, nice flavor to the sauce and the chicken tasted great. Hand sautéed and cut into manageable strips and covered in mozzarella. My Mom and brother had a couple slices and enjoyed them as well. Solid food and the owner is very friendly. Simple decor and very clean. Don’t let the strip mall location fool you. Legit pizza joint!

I have ordered a few times from here each time hoping they will get it right. I order Buffalo chicken pizza and ask for week done (crispy). The back of the pizza should not be black , floppy, and the cheese is not even melted. It’s stringy. No matter how specific I am with my request it never gets cooked right. What happened to a crispy crust? It’s almost impossible to find anywhere around Hillsborough or Montgomery Twp.

Roman Gourmet is located in the corner of a busy shopping center in Hillsborough, NJ. There is decent parking, though crossing the lot can be a challenge sometimes with the amount of people and traffic in this strip mall. Once inside, one finds an ample amount of seating, as well as a pleasant atmosphere with cozy lighting. Another plus is the vast drink options this place offers, including Boylan Sodas, one of my favorites for birch beer.

Ever since the new ownership took this place over, the quality of food and service has been outstanding. The Strombolis and Pizza, are the best in town. Also, if you like wings, you have to try their wide variety of wings. Especially the Buffalo style! They also have a phenomenal gluten pie.

Genuinely one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. Not only were the owners extremely rude, but when waiting for my order I even overheard them being very horrible to one of their employees over a simple easy-to-fix mistake. I like to believe the character of a person reflects the quality their food and boy was I right. Pizza was tasteless and lacking for its $20+ price and the pie sizes are pathetic. Never again.
