We love coming to Joey Tomato’s! It’s icing on the cake to our Jersey Shore day. No one does it better than their incredible & friendly staff. “Aunt” Doreen IS. THE. BEST. We are family every time we walk in. The pizza is perfect every time. We even make special trips in the off season when the boardwalk is chilly & a tasty hot slice is just what you need. Forget the rest, Joey Tomato’s is THE BEST!

On 7/8/2023, we ordered (2) standard-sized slices of plain cheese pizza, (2) standard-sized slices of broccoli pizza, and (1) 16oz. bottle of cold Minute-Maid yellow lemonade. On a positive note, the pizza slices arrived fairly quick, and were extremely hot out of the oven. The pizza slices tasted quite good, and were on par as far as quality goes with other reputable pizzerias. Sadly, the down side of Joey Tomato’s was the ridiculously high pricing of $32.83 for such a small amount of food. According to their prices which are definitely not consumer friendly, even a plain cheese pizza pie by itself costs over $35.00, and forget about adding extra toppings which will really “break the bank”. Talk about “price-gouging”. That was the biggest “turn-off” to dining at Joey Tomato’s. The 2-STAR rating is not for food quality, but rather for charging astronomical prices for their food. Joey Tomato’s really should address this “issue” in order to improve their currently low GOOGLE 3.8 rating score.

My wife’s favorite pizza place on the point pleasant boardwork. Have been stopping here for slices every summer. The pizza is very good, always have a wide variety ready for ready to eat slices. I will say that the prices have really jumped the last two summers. I get it, the rising cost of food ingredients and labor is going to get passed onto the guest. The price is the only thing keeping this from a 5 star review.

I tried pizza here last year and didn’t care for it much it was extremely greasy… Gave them another chance this week and I actually enjoyed it very much. The crust was very good and airy and I also enjoyed the sauce and this time it was not excessive with grease. 1 pizza and 4 sodas was $48… A little pricey but it’s to be expected when you eat on the boardwalk.

Not authentic pizza. Basic carnival pizza. $58 for 3 slices, 2 sodas, and a small salad that I had to throw out, because it had such a bad taste that I felt it could cause food poison . On top of that, they said that the bathroom was “out of service”, which means…”we dont feel like cleaning it, so we say it’s out of order”. Never going back again.
