Very busy on mother day. Ricky our server was hard at work taking care of his tables. Ricky was extremely good, fun, and we all enjoyed his service.

highly don’t recommend. Today was graduation day for a lot of people and i understand that. When i got here and checked in my family of 4 adults and the kids, i was told the wait would be about 30 minutes. completely fine. i understand a large party having to wait. The hostess proceeded to tell me she didn’t need my name and that we needed to be inside to be sat. well we went outside anyway because of the kids and all of the breakable items in the store. i sat outside for about ten minutes and came inside by myself to wait on the hostess to let me know we could be seated. i walked around for a bit and then went to see how much longer it would be and not only did i see the party that came in BEHIND us get sat with the same amount of people but then was told there was another party in front of me that we had to wait on. I did become a bit irritated but kept my patience. we finally got sat at our table and after about ten minutes, our waitress came to let us know she would be with us shortly. i could tell she was extremely busy so i continued to be patient. she took our order maybe 40 minutes later being completely attentive in between and getting our drinks and whatever else we needed. after about 30 minutes of waiting on our food i was getting annoyed as i started to see people who came in after us getting their food. about an hour after we ordered and still didn’t have our food i asked to speak with the manager. Well then all of a sudden our food was done and it was rushed out by our waitress and the manager. My mother in law and i explained our frustration and experience and she was absolutely no help at all. she proceeded to tell us that our ticket had only been up for thirty minutes and basically she wasn’t going to do anything to help our experience at all. And then on top of it all. my brother in laws ham literally smelt like feet and tasted awful. my food was barely even warm. On the bright side our waitress was wonderful. she apologized not only just on her behalf (even tho she had nothing to apologize for) but also for her rude manager and the slowest kitchen in the business. Her name was Deb. if you ever go, ask for her for sure !

Great food once we got it! I think the young man waiting our table was inexperienced. Our drinks came fast. Our food came out in three stages with many apologies for the time it was taking. My father ordered a bowl of beans and got a side of beans. When he pointed out the issue saying “the bowl of beans is my whole meal” the young man replied “I don’t think we have that”. Stunned my father replied “yes you have a bowl of beans on the menu”. The man went to the kitchen. We then realized we had no silverware. After quite some time our drinks were empty and I fashioned chopsticks out of two straws to begin eating. He returned with a bowl of beans he apparently waited for them to make or made it himself. We requested silverware. It came in a basket with no napkins. We requested napkins. We requested butter. We requested refills. The food was very good except a well done steak. We didn’t complain but we weren’t asked how we wanted the steak cooked so I guess the default is well done.

My experience here (11/29/2022) reminded me why I do not go to Cracker Barrel in or near Memphis, where even the best chains tend to be subpar. My wife and I wanted to take her relative, a foreign visitor, to Cracker Barrel, so against better judgment, we took her to this one (as far out in the suburbs as we could find.) But sure enough, despite it being 1:00 on a Tuesday and not busy at all, we were immediately met by a lack of professionalism. There was no one manning the hostess station, and although we were mere feet away from 2 workers in the gift shop (and a waitress who passed by), they never approached us. After 5-7 minutes of standing there, I went up to one of those workers and asked for a table. The worker went to the kitchen and the hostess magically appeared.

We arrived at 11:15am today and we’re told it would be a 25 min wait. My fiance gave our name and said he would check back if we decided not to wait. We waited for 45 minutes before going to the hostess station to see how much longer it would be. They never put our names down. Things happen and we tried to be understanding that mistakes happen. They apologized and said we would be next. They then proceeded to call 5 more tables ahead of us. When I said something about that, they then said they had people check in online that had to go before us. I told them how long we had been waiting and one of them started to argue with us about that, even though she then confirmed that she had talked to my fiance when we first arrived. Michelle and Cassidy were at the hostess station

This cracker barrel is hit or miss on quickness. Our waiters or waitresses are always really nice and helpful, but sometimes the food comes right out, and sometimes we have to wait a while.
