Came here as we came through town with my girlfriend. Attentive wait staff, nice and friendly. Quickly got us drinks and took our order. The proportion size of the onion rings was HUGE. The picture here is a half order and we had already put a dent in it. I gotta give it 5 stars just for the sheer value of this appetizer.

We were here for DC days stopped in for dinner, they were busy but our waitress came to our table once and went to the surrounding tables 4 different times each, I counted. Then we kept asking other waitresses when I our food and drinks were coming and finally after 2 ours, my wife and daughter got their food I had to wait an extra 30 minutes after they had finished to get my food. I was only comped a beer. 3 hours and 13 minutes was the total amount of time we were there. The staff was busy and but not 2 hour wait busy. I have been here before and the food and staff was great. But not during busy times like DC days

Went to lunch there at 12:30 on a Wednesday.There were 2 other couples who had menus, there was one waitress. She quickly took our drink order and returned with them. She took another couples order then came to us to get our order, but hadn’t given us menus. We got our menus, she took the 2nd couples order, then ours. Both of the other tables got their food within 20 min. We waited another 10 min at least, then I asked if our order had been forgotten. The waitress said no. We got our order, and she explained that the onion rings are homemade and take longer. I understand that, but the onion rings were swimming in grease (that looked old) and they were cold, as were my fries. The sandwiches were good, a chicken breast w/ cheese and bacon and a french dip. But the sides were warm at best. Another couple who came 20 min after us got their food within 5 min of us getting our food. The waitress seemed to be new, I understand that and I also understand when 3 tables walk in within 5 min of each other. But if our food took over 30 min, and it came out cold there are problems. 2 stars, only because the sandwiches were good. We won’t be back.

Nice, clean neighborhood bar and grill in Dallas center, Iowa. Good food, at a good price. Clean and great service. Went there for Saturday steak special. Delicious. Had Karaoke night there. Lots of fun. Wish karaoje was every Saturday but only once a month, oh well.

We go there for the food and it’s always great. However the help is far lest than focused on order accuracy, getting home and not having what you ordered is annoying. I’ll definitely go back but I’ll also check the order before I leave. 4 star on food and entertainment, -4 on staff skills.

We ate here two nights in a row as visiting guests. The food was great. We had meals varying from burgers, salads, steaks and fries. All were great. I heard they are under new ownership, which seems to be going well. Their menu is also quite large, so lots to choose from.

Awful, waited 50 for out food. No one explained anything didn’t get refills on drinks. Unorganized and very slow. Food was meh. Won’t go back and won’t recommend. Very disappointed… Our burgers were under cooked, which I don’t understand with the 50 minutes. I asked for a plain chicken wrap and it was smothered with ranch. We got “Sorry we weren’t ready for today” … From the time we were sat to the time the food came was 50 minutes, maybe the ticket was misplaced, IDK. I waitressed for 7 years and know what busy is. There were only 3 tables when we walked in so not busy…

Great staff willing to accommodate a vegetarian, great service, and great menu! The bar is very clean with a fun old-town atmosphere. Not a dive but not swanky, somewhere in between that feels like you belong there. Enjoy!
