I’ve only ever come for drinks, but every time I do they’re amazing. Perfect balance of “yup, this is tequila” without it being “oh god this is tequila.” Awesome place for dinner, dark decor but the large windows send in a lot of sunlight and it feels amazing.

This spot is alright. Nothing was inherently wrong but the food and drinks were overpriced compared to what you actually got. The atmosphere was great and our server was friendly but at the end they wouldn’t let us split the check at all and they didn’t tell us ahead of time. I think what makes the restaurant ehhh is the fact that there’s amazing restaurants nearby with better food that you can get for the same or cheaper price.

The service and the atmosphere is wonderful. However the food is not seasoned enough and wasn’t that great. The queso is literally a cast iron skillet of just partially melted cheese with no seasoning. It was not creamy at all. I had the carne asada tacos and the meat wasn’t seasoned at all.

Interesting cocktails. Good food with balanced flavors. The largest jalapeño poppers I’ve seen, with super crispy breading.

Outstanding staff and delicious food. In spite of being very busy, our party of 6 was seated promptly. We all chose tacos of various types. Excellent.

Nina was our server and made the whole experience awesome. The margaritas were great and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend stopping in and making a reservation if you have the time while you’re in Anchorage.

Tequila 61 was a place we had been wanting to go into during our trip to Anchorage. The food and atmosphere was way better than expected. My family loved the food and having been on Triple D, expectations were high. We were thoroughly impressed up until we received our check. We were a party of 8 but had requested separate checks, one for a party of 6 and one for a party of 2. When I saw my bill, I noticed a gratuity was added for having a party of 8. I was ok with it since I had the bigger party and paid the 20% gratuity. I ended up being frustrated after leaving the restaurant because our server didn’t really come over as much as I thought she should have seeing how we were seated as soon as they opened and there was only 3 other tables being used. My friend and I (he from the party of 2) were discussing our meals when he told me he was annoyed with his bill but didn’t want to ruin the evening at the table. He told me (then showed me his receipt) that he too was charged for a party of 8 gratuity of 20%. I feel that was completely wrong. I would check your bill if you ask for separate checks just in case. We were flying out early the next morning and I didn’t feel the need to argue and lose sleep over it. I can, however, leave my experience with you all.

Was excited to eat here but the food was quite overpriced so we decided on just drinks and to eat elsewhere. $20 for an appetizer cheese dip is a bit much if you ask me. Even the locals were saying it’s quite pricey here. The drinks were beautiful & tasted good. Ambiance in here was also nice.

Loved it! Very cute place with contemporary, fun Mexican fusion decoration, super nice and friendly staff and really good food. I wasn’t expecting much from a Mexican place in Alaska but I really liked it. Ate too much just because I wanted to try more things. Everything was very well made and tasty. Would definitely love to come back!

We visited Anchorage for few days and stayed in Hilton. tequila 61 was just across the street. The food was excellent and the assistant chef took care of the bill. The manager was very nice to support him with a discount too. Although we insisted to pay but Eray did not accept. The waitress was very friendly. Overall, service was top.
