Very disappointed. This has been my favorite restaurant for years. I’ve always said they had the best chicken in town. I had never tried their fish, but heard it was good, so I planned on taking fish home for dinner Friday after work (02/20/2015) – I called ahead, and got there at the time they told me. I don’t think it had been sitting under a heat lamp, waiting for me, because I waited about 10 minutes for, what looked like, them finishing up the order. When I got it home, (and I only live a few miles away) the fish was soggy, dry and gray colored. It was the worst fish I have ever had. I also ordered some chicken, I thought we could eat that over the weekend, but it was awful, as well. The crust was soggy and the chicken itself was so dry, it wasn’t fit to eat. The cole slaw was good, but the green beans were so soggy they looked like spinach, the corn was also not fit to eat. The corn bread was hard and dry, and the macaroni/cheese was also dry and sticky. I was SO disappointed, as we were looking forward to dinner, and they aren’t a cheap place to eat. I just felt like it was money thrown away. I doubt I will be back, at least not any time soon.

The food at Sea Boat may be good, but the customer service is awful! I would give them negative stars if possible! I have had a bad experience with them on three different occasions! First, I called in my order and was told 20 minute wait time. I arrived at 20 minutes and waited another 30 minutes before my food was actually ready.They never apologized and did not greet me in a friendly way. Second, I called in a large order for a family function. After arriving I sat there for at least 10 minutes before they told me they ran out of fish and it would be a little bit. I waited an hour before my order was ready. Final time going to Sea Boat I called in an order even confirming my order with the woman over the phone (not nice at all)! She was very rude when I tried asking questions. I was told it would be a 20 minute wait. I arrived at Sea Boat after 20 minutes and was rudely told that they didn’t have anyone call in an oder for the food I was there to pick up. Once again, they were not sorry at all! They acted like it was my fault or that I was lying about calling in an order! I don’t know how they are still in business with the awful customer service their employees provide!

Pretty good fried food, and not in the rough part of town like JJ’s. Their coleslaw has little apple pieces in it which I really liked.
