This was our first time visiting and it was generally very good. Our food was hot, fresh, and tasty. Service started out very good (almost too good, with three different servers assisting our table), but then after our food was delivered we didn’t see our server until long after we were finished eating.

The overall experience was pretty enjoyable. The service was great, our waitress was very polite. I believe her name was Alyssa . The price is a little up there but anything is nowadays. The biscuits and gravy have a different spin on them with your choice of eggs on top of the biscuits then gravy on top of eggs with hash browns too. For traditional french toast they were a bit cinnamony for me but otherwise tasted great also got a short stack pancake to go for my daughter after preschool.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. The time of day was not the best choice as it was late morning early afternoon on a Sunday. The place was absolutely packed. But even though it was almost standing room only, it was actually worth the wait. You could see their staff were working like crazy. All their staff were friendly and very professional, even while dashing around working hard. They never ignored a single customer. Our wait to be seated was maybe ten minutes. We were seated at a booth that was comfortable and generous in space. Our server was very prompt and friendly. I ordered Corned Beef Hash. It arrived very fresh and hot and completely homemade. The Corned Beef was obviously hand cut and so were the potatoes. The portions were just right and we left full and satisfied. My pancakes were piping hot and super flavorful…would love to know their recipe, because they were perfectly deep golden and thick but still very fluffy. The coffee was fresh and hot. As I watched the dining room, not a single customer was waiting for service and everyone within my ear shot was complimenting their food and how impressed they were with their meal. Overall, Ruby’s was an impressive unexpected surprise. I recommend stopping in when you can and we will certainly visit this small town experience again.

We arrived very late- close to closing- despite our good intentions. Staff treated us well and kind. Our food and drinks came out delicious.

Forgot her name but our server was AWESOME!!! She was welcoming, she knew the menu and very efficient. The food was wonderful and so tasty. You had some nice choices on your menu. The fries are so yummy. I had a Ruben with fries ….My husband had breakfast, he said it was perfect. Amazing, just amazing!!! Our Compliments to the Chef, Good Job! What I was NOT HAPPY WITH WAS THAT EXTRA CHARGE WHEN I USE A CREDIT CARD! We were not very happy about that! We will come back but will bring cash!

The food is amazing here. I always love ordering the chicken mushroom penne pasta. The taste is not just great but the plating is great as well. I took a picture of the brownie sundae I ordered today. Yes I ate some before taking the photo. I also wanted to say whether if you’re hungry for breakfast, lunch or dinner… its all served all day long.

The same feelings of Perkins live on but the food is markedly improved (Corned Beef Hash was Wow! ) Now you can support another family owned and operated business in Shakopee- my favorite kind of businesses to support. Rose is 1 of the best waitress you will ever find and has been a great constant through the transition. Meet a friend here for some breakfast or just a coffee, or better yet take the family out for a meal. Great place.

Far from impressed, we immediately felt like we were a burden to be there. We were seated then promptly ignored while they seated others and took their drink orders. Then we were finally asked about drink orders and we gave our food order also so they didn’t have a choice to ignore us again. We asked for water for both of us multiple times and they only brought one of us water each time. I ordered sausage patties and they brought out nasty turkey patties. Prices were way too high for the quality of the food and service.

My daughter and I were driving by Ruby’s on our way to eat somewhere else. On a whim we decided to try here instead, which proved to be a great choice. The food, service, and atmosphere were all better than we expected. The prices are in line with other options in the area.

Well the food was ok, not out of this world, the selection was poor, and there was 3 people there, and it took 15mns to get our food, and even longer to get the check. We had to hunt down the waitress to pay so we could leave. The food was over cooked and seemed like it was less than described. As far as atmosphere, it has none. It’s just kinda blah all around. No real glaring issues, but nothing really stood out either. 3 stars is being generous.
