Best boardwalk style Hot Dogs! We started with a nice cold beer – I had blue moon and better half had Kona. For appetizer we shared fried zucchini with the horseradish sauce. It was hot, crunchy, and fresh. For the dogs, I had the Italian while he had the spicy jockey. They also have a kid’s menu. Service was great! We have been customers for years and will continue.

The food was AMAZING, and definitely up to par with the service. I believe my waitress’ and was Bridget and she was so nice and accommodating. I ordered one of the season specials the double smash burger with tomato and caramelized onions and it was delicious. If you are looking for a good spot to eat down on the shore, definitely check this spot! (Did I also mentioned they had live music when I came?)

I was going to my friends house at 2 pm but it was 12 pm and I couldn’t wait . I was just about to pass Max’s and pulled right in . I’ve never been here before. What a cool place ( they have a tandem bike inside ) tons of pictures on the wall . A nice menu, tons to choose from . I ordered a turkey burger w/ fries absolutely delicious . Highly recommended this place

This place was a family favorite for over three decades. They changed the decor the quality of the food and staff. The famous max hot dog looks like it is on keto and is now $9 and the fresh south jersey corn not here! Frozen water logged ears! Sorry to see it like this

Stopped here on a mini hot dog tour. Overall decent dogs not bad, but not great. We ate here right after Windmill, which is a tought act to follow. The place is very clean & the staff were nice. I would rate the hot dogs 3 stars but since we didn’t have any of the other food, I will give it an overall 4 so as to damage the average rating for the place.

Having started coming to Max’s in 1969, and having moved away in the late 70’s, I always enjoy cunning back when I’m on town. They totally changed the establishment but kept a part of the place full of nostalgia, and most importantly, kept the hot dogs!! Staff was so very nice and can’t wait to return again

First of all they charged a 3 percent surcharge for using a credit card which they didn’t let the customer know or had it posted on their door when we entered which will cause me not to go anymore. Second the food was just ok for the amount of money we paid. $97.00 for 2 hot dogs, a cheeseburger, a salad with chicken and one appetizer. Not worth us going anymore

This is such a solid restaurant to get some delicious hot dogs and burgers. I ended up getting both and they were amazing! You can finish off your meal with a nice walk on the nearby boardwalk which is a nice little perk!
