This place is great for fresh food. Service can be slow, but in the end, your food is hot and correct. I would compare this to a jasons deli with a southern twist. I’ve had the watermelon feta salad, which was refreshing. I also tried a cauliflower pizza (margarita) and was very pleased that the crust was actually crispy and not soggy. Tried my kids’ ham and cheese, and if I could eat bread, I would have inhaled that, lol

I had to repeat my order at least three times. The salad tasted like water. The cookie that looked so delicious in the picture was nearly frozen in a plastic bag. And the bench we first sat on was partly broken. This restaurant has really gone down hill.

The food is usually pretty good. Occasionally, the pizzas are under done and floppy, but the sandwiches and salads are always good. Their ceaser dressing especially delicious! Employees are nice and the place is always clean. Don’t waste your money on the cakes, though. They’re dry and have that refrigerator taste. The Krispy treats, however, are pretty tasty.

I have been a steady customer at the Southaven Newts since I moved here three years ago. Yesterday I purchased 2 Supreme Pizzas at 2;54 pm on August 15. The Pizzas were horrible..the crust was undercooked, not sliced and rubbery. It was not possible to pull the slices apart.

Love their pizza, salad, and sandwiches. Service, not so much. The girl who brought our soup and pizza to us spilled both bowls of our soups on our unused napkins and utensils, then proceeds to jab her whole top of thumb (nails with polish) into my soup and just kind of flinged it onto the table. Didn’t even apologize and just walks away.

This place is simply awesome. I really like their sandwiches specially Newks Q sandwich. Cost wise I believe it’s little overpriced but it taste very good. Customer service is good and they are helpful. If you are Memphis do try their sandwiches.
