Every time I go here there’s an issue so make sure you look at the menu and prices because i ordered 8 tenders a medium fry and 10 shrimp in cornmeal they did it in batter, so had to make it all over again and only gave me 9 shrimp call me petty but I want what I paid for , also they gave me 14 tenders and charged me when I said 8 they push off something I didn’t order on me and made me pay for it this isn’t the first time then the manager called me a liar and literally watched me count the shrimp and proceeded to say I ate one when in fact he watched me not eat anything. They need better people working in there. Good taste good but I’m tired of the customer service I get everytime I go here.

I will definitely give this place another try in the future. The one time I went here I got the cod dinner and it was pretty good. It seemed a little dry to me like the fish fillets were too thin to stay moist on the inside. The portions were good. Tons of fries and the lemon salt they offer was very tasty. Call ahead because it does take a solid 20 minutes to get your order prepared but it is fresh and hot when you get it. From reading these reviews I see that a lot of people like the shrimp. Maybe next time I’ll try the shrimp. It was definitely good enough and prices were right to try again. I’m glad to see a local business doing well in this area of Ypsilanti.

Chicken was fried perfectly. Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Not a ton of flavor in the batter though, so I’d opt for the lemon pepper seasoning.

BEWARE of old chicken – We placed a large order for 300 wings and 100 legs and thighs nearly a week in advance. I was told by the manager named Amir, to call the day before to confirm the order. To my surprise, I received a call a day in advance from an employee saying my order was ready for pick-up!!! I told him to check the date and that’s when he realized they made the order one day too early! The next day we picked up the order and we were very disappointed because the chicken was not fresh and hot like it usually is, it seemed cold inside like it was refrigerated. Considering the current chicken wing shortage, this order was likely saved for the next day and simply sold to us. We are NOT going to place orders like this with Al’s supposed “Fresh” Fish & Chicken anymore due to us being given old chicken for our order. Additionally, they charged a convenience fee after giving me old chicken! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Just found hair in my food, afyer my famiky and I had about 7 or 8 shrimp. I asked for a new order and a discount from my order, and they would not honor this. They did return my money, but the attitudes were so nonchalant, and they tried to make me feel like it was my fault I found the hair. There were 3 gentlemen working the fryers, and not one of them had on hair nets. I asked why not, and the reply. I got back, “was we been here for over 30 years, and never had a complaint. I really love this, but this will be the last time I ever purchase from here again.
