Saw the owner interviewed on local tv recently. So glad we visited today. The food was fantastic. The service was exceptional. We appreciated the made to order tasty options. The portions are large enough to take home our next meal. The inside is clean & cozy. Can’t wait to bring more friends to experience a great meal.

This place was amazing. It was the first place I stopped at for food in Topeka, and it really set the bar for the rest of my trip. I had the Burrito Oaxaqueño, and it was absolutely amazing. It’s served on a 12″ long plate, and takes most of the plate. Served in a bed of a verde sauce, and smothered in more sauce, and cheese. It was a massive experience of flavor. The restaurant staff was all super helpful and very friendly. Absolutely will eat again.

I Never post reviews but coming from Chicago I have high expectations when it comes to Mexican food. I had the pozole, a gordita de asada and horchata. My expectations were definitely met. Everything was delicious. The tortillas were handmade and so soft. Plus the salsas were just the right amount of spicy. Highly recommend this spot!

Restaurant seemed busy usually it’s fast service but today the wait to get our order started alone was about an hour we. We order a quesadilla, a hamburger and a mar y tierra. Faster service is needed. We were not the only ones hungry waiting over an hour for our food

Tacos are pretty good but the salsa is water. I paid extra for chips and salsa only to get literal tomato water. Gonna stick to tacos el sol from now on, cheaper and better quality there.

Having read a previous recommendations for Oaxaqueno the wife and I decided to try it out tonight. First of all, do not be put off by the location. The front of the business could use a little touch up but the food inside is what matters and it was well worth the visit. We were greeted by a very nice young lady who told us to pick a table and she quickly returned and took our drink order. On the wall behind the register are several pictures of different plates and soups and they all looked delicious but after seeing the picture of the beef soup I knew I was going to have soup tonight. One thing about me is that I NEVER order soup at a restaurant. In my mind I believe that if I am out to eat then I want something substantial and I want to leave full and soup just doesn’t usually do that.

GREAT FOOD! It was crowded and it took a while to get our food. The cashier warned us that it would be a while. It was well worth it. I had Chicken mole. My friend had carne asada. Both were fantastic. Recommended.
