Great service, delicious food and the Turkish coffee exceeded my expectations. Got a variety of dessert and some pita boat bread for later. The Za’atar pizza and Thyme/cheese pizza were so yummy and the dough was soft with a perfect crust. Will be back again, highly recommend!

My friend and I ate at Somer Bakery on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The eggplant starter was great, as was the fresh flat bread. It was soft and chewy perfection. I had the Foul breakfast, which included a salad, a bowl of smashed Fava beans covered in olive oil, and more flat bread. The coffee was unique in both flavor and service.

Somer is such a wonderful addition to our community and I’m so happy to finally get something unique in the Tri-Cities. They have authentic sweet and savory baked goods, including incredible flatbreads and pita. They were so delicious and fluffy with beautiful char marks, probably the best I’ve ever eaten. Took them home and warmed it on a skillet with olive oil and it was perfection with our dinner. The desserts were also wonderful, I tried the pistachio baklava and it was crispy with a perfect balance of honey and crushed pistachio. There were other date and coconut type pastries as well. They also have a small grocery section containing Middle Eastern items, as well as an eatery. I can’t wait to come back and try the spinach pie!

As a real authentic Iraq restaurant here in the Tri-Cities, I believe I found a little know treasure. The food was fresh and very tasty and the service was delightful.

The food is so fresh; it’s amazing. Their breads are still warm from the oven. The taste and texture leaves you begging for more. Their secret ingredient is the various types of flours they use. The owner is a long standing professional baker and it’s obvious from the appearance and taste of the sophisticated baklava and other pastries. The gyro sandwich and falafel are delicious. I look forward to trying their pizzas. The service is friendly and cordial. They strive to please. The atmosphere is basic. It’s a newer, growing business and well worth the visit.

I wanted to love this place because I knew the bread was really good and we love middle eastern food, and maybe we just caught them on a bad day, but the food was not good at all (aside from their very nice pita). Our meals were served straight from the microwave and not very appetizing or flavorful ( Falafel, chicken shish kebab). We thought it tasted like frozen food. The dips and salad were ok but nothing great. I’d buy the bread again and maybe try a dessert? But certainly can’t recommend the food.

Very delicious baklava and coconut like dessert! The place looks like they just opened, and we stopped in on a whim. The Lahm Bi Ajeem (flavor like ground beef spaghetti sauce on a pita) was freshly made, and devoured before I remembered to take a picture!

You’ve gotta try the walnut baklava! Adnah was very friendly and attentive, he shared experiences from his life living in Iraq and now in the U.S.
