I had an appointment nearby and was craving chicken tenders. I arrived to Guthrie’s at 10:34a; just after they opened. The service I received was pleasant + professional. My food was fresh, hot + delicious! It hit the stop on my long drive back to the city! I would absolutely visit again.

Had never heard of Guthries prior but got lost in Canton a few days ago then saw this location and decided to have a meal. Service was excellent at the drive thru window. A young man maybe college aged?explained the style and gave me a recommendation. We chatted at the window too about Lake Alston’s. He was very professional and personable. Normally I rate Guthrie’s very highly. And I’ve love their food since my days back at Auburn University. However, here lately their chicken fingers are not as good a quality as they used to be and typically the fries at this location taste like they have been recooked to warm them back up. Disappointing

The food was good but nothing special about it. The signature sauce has a little bit too much of a ketchup flavor for my taste, nothing like Zaxbys as the girl at the drive thru told us. The cole slaw was not very tasty, but again it’s just my preference. Overall, our meal was ok, but don’t think I will return since there is a Zaxbys nearby.

Very limited menu, but in they do chicken strips very well. The staff are friendly and courteous. The dining room is in clean, comfortable, and inviting. If you enjoy country music, they have it playing quite loudly over the speaker system.

I have been to two Gutherie’s locations and I really love their big box because for me, it’s two meals. I enjoy the slaw, it taste homemade. The chicken fingers are never over fried or dry but always juicy and tasty. The sweet tea is well made and just the right pinch of sweet. Way better than sweet tea at other southern restaurants that sell chicken..wink…wink!
